I have never read a case book with more acronyms! The authors use three letter abbreviations for EVERYTHING. Sure, I understand common health related acronyms like HMO and HHS, but throughout the 1500 pages, the authors managed to be quite excessive!! Aside from my minor qualm, the book is very informative and provides detailed explanations about variety of health law topics ranging from: roles and liabilities of health care professionals, control of cost, and the management of health care insurance. If you are unfamiliar in this area of the law, this reading book is a great way to become abreast of statutory, social, and policy issues within this area. The book is quite pricy (and not to mention heavy!) but it will make a great addition to your literary collection.
