Healthy Foods, A Unit Study of Practical Nutrition & Wellness was created to help children take an active role in understanding nutrition. The study accompanies the book, Healthy Foods: An Irreverent Guide to Understanding Nutrition and Feeding Your Family Well. These age appropriate unit studies (K-5 and 6-9 grades) empower children with the tools necessary to become educated about the effect good nutrition has on the body and consequently, become nutritionally responsible-even at a young age.

These fun and interactive unit studies come three-hole-punched and notebook ready to encourage individual creativity and unlimited learning. Each unit study is designed to educate without spoon feeding, by providing lots of hands-on activities and questions that give kids lots of good food for thought and an opportunity to really think and grow.

Children are encouraged to check books out from the library, keep food journals and build their own Healthy Foods notebooks. Once completed, these notebooks will become valued references helping children continue to build solid nutritional foundations for life.
