Thank you to the author for developing such a wonderful teaching book about my son's heart. My stress level went through the roof when the doctors said Johnny had a heart defect. Ms. Wild's book is the only teaching tool I could relate to which not only eased my fears, but also taught me everything I needed to know. Unlike the other books on the market, I found her book easy to follow, and down to earth. My doctor was particularly impressed with the "draw on hearts" section. Now, even I can explain the defect, and how it was fixed. I understand it completely. It is easy to tell that Ms. Wild is not only a nurse, but a caring loving parent who understands the fear and helplessness that goes along with having an sick child. Thank you, and God Bless the author and publishers of this gift. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This is the book I have been waiting for! If you are like me and have a child with a heart defect you will want to have this book. It explains very complicated heart defects in terms that parents can understand. There is a place in the back where you can draw your child's heart defect in relation to a normal heart which is very helpful. There is also a list of questions to ask your doctor (which is helpful when dealing with the stress before and after surgeries). Buy this book and you'll have a greater understanding of your child's defect. I'm going to buy one for his grandparents too.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
