Overview

Heart for the Fight is the story of Brian Stann, a kid from the wrong side of Scranton who made it to the Naval Academy, played linebacker for the Navy football team, became a Marine officer, graduated first in his infantry officer class, led his men in two intense combat tours in the Anbar Province of Iraq, received the Silver Star for gallantry, and now has emerged as one of the most interesting figures on the mixed martial arts (MMA) professional circuit. A former light-heavyweight champion in the WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting), he now fights in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), the "big leagues" of mixed martial arts.

Hire Heroes USA is the link to career opportunities nationwide for returning servicemen and women-our heroes-to ensure they have the opportunity to enjoy the freedoms they fought to preserve.

    Very Good!

Very good book that covers Brian's life: In his early years growing up, at the USNA, playing football at the USNA, as an officer in the USMC, as a UFC fighter, and dealing with friends, death and setbacks along the way.

    Excellent Read

I loved this book. It was well written and very entertaining to read. The honor Brian Stann stands for rings true with every chapter. A true patriot and clearly a heck of a Marine. Its a must read!!

    Incredible!!!

As a Marine and fight fan, I bought this book with high hopes. What I wasnt expecting was a gripping story of a man who is a true Hero and a role model to all. I cried, laughed, and sympathized with this remarkable man and his mission to not let the memories of his fallen Marines be forgotten. Semper Fi Brother!!!!!!!!

    Once I started reading, I couldn't stop!!

This book is a must read if you are a fight fan or you like military action. Brain Stann certainly has a heart for the fight and I have followed his MMA career since early on. After reading this book I can truly say how much I admire his heart and his service to his country. He fights for his lost Marines and carries them into the cage with him in an effort to ward off his own personal wartime demons and to have their memory never be forgotten. His actions under fire on the battlefield are inspiring and put into perspective how a fight in UFC pales in comparison. I loved the book. Thank you Brian Stann
