It was very hard to keep the characters straight in this series. In Her Restless Heart, page 149, Nick Brannigan owns a taxi service but in The Heart's Journey, page 134, Nick introduces himself as Nick Talbot. Also, in The Heart's Journey, page 78, it mentions Chris Marlowe but on page 162, Chris becomes Chris Matlock. In The Heart's Journey, page 129, Naomi talks about Chris helping his wife, Mary Katherine, in their home just as Mary Katherine helps Chris with outside chores when actually, Chris is married to Hannah. In Her Restless Heart, page 42, it says that Anna's dead husband's name was Gideon. In The Heart's Journey, page 189, it says his name was Samuel. Then in Heart In Hand, Gideon Beiler becomes Anna's fiance, years after her husbands death. Very confusing!

Another clean, Amish romance, and it is mostly enjoyable. It has everything that I have come to expect from Amish books. Simple people living in the old ways. A simple, genuine trust in God. A subdued romance. No profanity, no sex, and completely clean! You've got to love Anna and Gideon. They are both widowed, and it is neat to see the budding romance between them. But my favorite character is Leah. She is Anna's grandmother, and she doesn't mince words. I was glad to see that when the women got together, not all Amish propriety was followed. That made for some fun times and some different discussions than one might normally find in an Amish book. I chose to give this four stars because I have to admit that as nice as it was, it failed to capture my attention as other Amish books were. I sometimes found myself getting rather bored. I wanted to know how it ended, and Gideon's daughter is very sweet and fun-loving. It was a quick read, and if you are looking for a quick Amish love story, I would certainly say this is it. I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

I've only ever read a couple Amish fiction novels so when I signed up for this tour I completely surprised myself but I'm glad I did. Heart in Hand was my first foray into Barbara Cameron's writing and I have to say it was rather enjoyable. Heart in Hand was a nice break from all the other books I was reading at the same time as this. I usually have multiple books on the go and in preparation for the tour I started this one as soon as I got it and read 20 pages here, 50 pages there until I finished it. It was a nice clean read, and not at all like my usual read but I'm glad I gave this a shot like I said because of how out of the norm it was for me. I loved the story of Gideon and Anna, their romance was so sweet I couldn't help but love them as a couple and feel their pain of losing their first spouses and having to start all over again. I really enjoyed the way their story was told. It was sweet, emotional and entirely heartfelt you could tell that the author was very connected to her characters in a way that you only see in the very talented authors out there. I got completely wrapped up in their love story and in the way that I got to know Anna and Gideon's fictional Amish community and I loved getting to know Anna's grandmother who was a sweet old woman with a lot of wisdom that I think she passed down to Anna. As for Gideon it was great to see a gentlemanly character and I found him to be so kind and understanding. Overall, I really enjoyed Heart in Hand. While it is the third book in Barbara Cameron's Stitches in Time Series it can be read as a stand alone easily which was great for me since I had not read the previous two novels and I had no problem following the story in Heart in Hand. This was a sweet, clean romance that I can see appealing to older and younger readers. I would recommend this to fans of Amish and Christian fiction/romance novels. If you aren't familiar with the genre this novel would be a lovely place to start and both older and younger readers can read it. I can see it appealing to mothers and daughters who share novels and I can't wait to read the previous novels in this series because Barbara Cameron has gained a new fan in me. *I received a FREE copy of this book in exchange for my FREE & HONEST review. I was not compensated in anyway and ALL thoughts and opinions expressed in my review are my own.

Heart In Hand by Barbara Cameron 4 STARS Stitches in Time Book 3 Oops I read book 3 before book 2. I don't even have book 1 yet. But I will be reading book 2 soon. In Stitches in Time 3 cousins work in a craft store with thier Grandmother and find love along the way. In Heart in Hand we see how the three cousins lives have changed by working together in the Craft store. The main character in Heart in Hand is Anna who after a short marriage became a widow with no children. Anna has not been happy and she feels a little jealous of her cousins that they have found love. Anna had found love with Sam while they were both in school. Anna had never dated anyone else. She loves to knit. Gideon Beiler is A widower raising a little girl Sarah Rose. Gideon has tried to be a good parent to Sarah Rose. He promised his late wife that she would learn the skills a mother would teach her. Gideon brought his daughter into the craft store so they could pick out a craft to learn together. They decided to learn how to knit a scarf. The craft kit came with yarn that they planned to dye together in koolaid. Sarah Rose read the directions out loud but she skipped over the part to wear rubber gloves. Gideon ended up with purple dye all over his hands that did not come off at all. The next day was sunday and he got a lot of attention for purple hands. After Anna had come to the rescue to help Gideon get the dye off his hands and teaching the knitting clase Gideon and Sarah Rose joined he asked Anna if he could date her. Anna did not think she was ready to date but agreed they could start slow. It was not easy to start dating again for either Anna or Gideon. I liked the characters in Stitches in Time series. I wanted to know more about the different characters. Gideon and Anna seamed real to me. Some ways this book touched me and made me greatful for what I have. Everyone grieves a little different. Sometimes we want to rush other people through the process. This does a good job showing the emotions of opening your heart to love again. This is a clean read. Sweet romance with some humor, drama and good characters dealing with real problems. I was given this ebook and asked in exchange to give honest review when done by Netgalley. This is the third book in this series, and an enjoyable read. We visit again with some old friends, sharing their joys and heartache. There are three cousins Naomi, Mary Katherine, and Anna that work with their Grandmother Leah. There is also their honorary cousin, Jenny, who feels like she has always belonged. Anna has lost her Sam, and deals with her sorrow every day. When Gideon Beiler visits the shop with his precocious daughter Sarah Rose, things are about to change. Sarah Rose has lost her Mom to Cancer, and takes a liking to Anna. Can Gideon get over comparing Anna to Mary, and vice versa, Anna comparing Gideon to Sam. We travel along in this Amish Community, and you begin to feel apart of the society. We hope all will work out for these folks, but putting two families together can be difficult. We also join Naomi and Nick for their wedding, and Mary Katherine and Jacob and their happiness. A great read to get lost in, don't miss it. I received this book through Abingdon Press and was not required to give a positive review.

Barbara Cameron in her new book, “Heart In Hand” Book Three in the Stitches in Time Series published by Abingdon Press takes us into the life of Anna in the Amish community in Lancaster County. From the back cover: The possibility of new beginnings arrives with the spring, but Anna may not be ready. After the wedding of her cousin Naomi, knitter Anna, a widow, finds herself missing love and the closeness of a husband. She feels a special connection with her grandmother as they both struggle to go on with life. Is Anna on the verge of finding happiness when she realizes John Esh is interested in her? Love begins to warm Anna’s heart, but will she be so afraid of losing someone that she gives up the second chance that God has provided? I am sorry to see this series come to an end. This time up the focus is on Anna, A widow, whose heart wants to move on from the death of her husband but doesn’t really know how. Then there is Gideon, a widower, with a daughter, Sarah Rose, who meets Anna to help his daughter learn to knit. This is a story about individuals who grieve, from losing spouses to the loss of a mother, grief is something that others don’t seem to grasp unless they have gone through it. It is into this environment that Ms. Cameron manages to weave a romance that just captivates you. She makes you care for all the characters and their journey. This is also just plain fun and exciting as well. Don’t start this book late at night because it will cost you sleep. I look forward to the next series from Ms. Cameron. Sweet Finish to the Series  Anna lost her husband and is a young widow. She misses her husband so much it takes all her energy to just get through the day. Now with bother her cousins married she wishes them well but can’t help but feel her loss even more. Then John enters the shop where she works with his little girl and Anna finds herself starting to care for the man and his daughter. He is also a widow and finds himself looking past his grief to a new future. Can they finally find love and happiness again?      This is the third and final book in this series. I had wondered about Anna’s story after reading the first two books and I enjoyed reading this book. What I liked: Even though this book had a sad undertone due to the fact that Anna was still grieving her late husband I thought it was well written and the author did a good job expressing Anna’s feelings. The romance between Anna and John was sweet and simple. This is not a deep book but enjoyable for sure. I also liked how some of the characters from previous series make appearances in this book. It is always fun to see how they are doing. What I did not like: Not a lot I did not like. There was a few times I thought it was going a little slow but nothing major.      Over all a good book. You could read this book as a stand alone but it would be much better to start with book one and work your way through the series as they tie together nicely.
