There is something familiar about his lovely target, something that attracts him, and fills him with dread. For he knows that if he doesn’t kill her, someone else will—and kill him as well.
I loved the steampunk and I connected with the characters easily. I also really liked the romance, but if you're used to reading books like The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward, you'll notice there is a lot less sex in this book. I read it on a whim and swept through it very quickly. I even read the the excerpt at the end for book two and I soooo cannot wait to read that. This book won't knock your socks off, but I don't think you'll be disappointed in the least with it.
