Meet the Author


Lionel David Barnett (1871-1960) was a respected British Indologist. After graduating from Trinity College, Cambridge, and earning a doctorate, he worked for sixty years at the Department of Oriental Printed Books and Manuscripts of the British Museum. He was also a professor in Oriental studies and Sanskrit.  His works include Brahman-Knowledge and Rama and Krishna.
