Born and raised in coastal New England, Christine Warren now lives as a transplant in the Pacific Northwest (she completely bypassed those states in the middle due to her landlocking phobia). When not writing (as if that ever happens), she enjoys horseback riding, playing with her pets, identifying dogs from photos of their underbellies, and most of all reading things someone else had to agonize over. She enjoys hearing from readers and can be reached via email sent to Christine@christinewarren.net.

    Where was the book?

    Talk about SHORT! While this is free and a sort-of cute story, it's not worth the time to even download it.

    DO not download, it's a short story not a book

    don't waist your time. Every free book I've downloaded is between 48-53 pages, that's no book, don't advertise it as a book, advertise it as a short story.

    Too Short But Still Good

    I'm a huge fan of Christine Warren and I was excited when I saw this FREE story from her. I have to agree with a lot of the other reviewers. It was far too short. I would have like to see development to the story and the characters. I like the characters, but you don't really get to know them well enough. Heart of the Sea should have been longer but still a good read especially if you are a fan of Christine Warren.

    Selkie and a witch

    13 pages of reading. Glad it was free. Gave 2 stars because it was so short. The author could have given us a few more pages.

    Cute story but super short! I wish it was longer. I love reading anything by Christine Warren but this was barely worth the effort. It felt more like a preview of a book instead of a whole story. It's a good thing it was free.

    This really wasnt worth time effort or energy to read. Skip this. I have read other books by Warren, buy those instead, just go to her website to figure out the correct order to read. I have read 3 books by her and was confused, since I did not read in order. Good luck to you. REALLY DONT GET THIS!

    Is a short story but it will give you the pick you need for "Black magic Woman" I you like Christine Feehan and Lynsay Sans then you would like Christine warren.

    This one was actually kind of cute.  The story kept the reader and the fiancé guessing and it really made me wonder about the rest of the series.  There isn't much character development and the plot was quite simple.  But it caught my attention fast, dropped a few intriguing details about their world, and had just the right amount of everything considering the short read.  And it's free!  This book made me consider participating in a witch/witchcraft challenge but it was not to be.

    Too Brief

    I enjoy the "Others" Series but this story was much to short. There wasn't enough time to develop an interest in the characters before the story was over. I will stick to the full length novels in the future.
