I am so excited to get this book finished. It's been on my to be read shelf since I got my first nook almost two years ago. The story of Emma and Dean seems a bit dark in places and both of them keep stumbling over their own baggage and insecurities. In some ways they are their own worse enemies. It's easy to see where the title from the story comes from because there is plenty of angst in this story. But the HEA does make the story a worthy read but it does feel good to get something off my list that has been there a while

A breezy romance with some very serious moments. I definitely recommend this book. 4 stars!!

This novel explores the impact of adolescent lies on three innocent people, where the lies reverberate for the next 8 years. Clean language and tasteful treatment of imperfect secondary characters make this a highly recommended book.

I thought this book sounded interesting and there were reviews just raving about how wonderful it is. Either these people were tripping when they read it or they're loyal friends or family of the author. Seriously. I got about half way through and couldn't deal with it any more. I actually deleted it from my library. First of all, and i really hope no one will think of this as a spoiler since it happens so early in the book and all, but the sexual encounter was rape. The girl said no. Stop. We shouldn't do this. How many ways does she have to say it? And i can kind of get that he got carried away and thought she was into, yeah not really. I do believe he was remorsefull, but i feel like this book totally swept the rape under the rug and minimized the seriousness of such an action. Then not long after seeing each other again, all is forgiven? Yeah right! In what world? And that's just the story! The writing was abominal! I can usually overlook a lot if the story is good enough, but not with this one. Typo after typo after typo. I'm not going to continue, just know that, as someone who reads a TON and usually overlooks a lot, this book isn't a book i'd read or recommend if i was stranded on a deserted island with nothing else to read and the option of going insane by boredom! Terrible!
