All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
In many ways, Blake Lewis was the most original American Idol contestant to ever get into the final two, the one guy who couldn't be classified, something that helped drive him while on the show, but proved his undoing on a major label, where his beat-boxing Brit-love never coalesced into something either marketable or interesting, partially because the powers that be emphasized his old-school hip-hop influences, pushing him toward cuts like "Brake Anotha." Lewis doesn't separate his club rhythms and Morrissey obsessions, winding up with a record that sounds curiously and unwittingly like a soundtrack to a Eurotrash club, but in an appealing fashion because it feels uncontrived and often very catchy.

    Blake has a winner

There were good songs on his previous album, but this one hits the mark with a dead-on bulls eye. every song is memorable and you should buy or download this whole project today. in fact, buy it for a friend too - that's what i did.

    I Also Recommend:

    EPIC Album! Worth buying!

I love this CD! From start to finish! It will have you dancing, even if your just driving in the car! Much progress from Audio Day Dream, so different, but in a good way! This album is one of the best albums I've ever heard!

He beatboxes less on this album, but it's even more amazing than his first album! He proved he can do much more than beatboxing with this! His voice also sounds more mature and sexy on this record. For fans of his beatboxing, he does have hints of beatboxing in about all of the songs. Track 8 is simply pure amazing beatboxing and vocal scratching.

I believe that whether you hated or loved his first album, "Audio Day Dream", you'll be sure to love this one! "Heartbreak On Vinyl" is worth every dollar you could ever pay for it!

    "Heartbreak On Vinyl" is AMAZING!!!!

Heartbreak On Vinyl is an incredible album from top to bottom. The former American Idol contestant really showcases his talent from beatboxing to writing. Blake Lewis is definitely an up and coming star. With hits like "Sad Song" and "Afraid" this album is a must buy...
