Svetlana Burckhardt is a qualified beauty therapist, make-up artist, personal stylist and celebrity eyebrow consultant in Sydney.

Svetlana was born in the former Soviet Union, Uzbekistan, the capital city of Tashkent. Growing up in a Muslim country, Svetlana observed the beauty and grooming routines of the Muslim women from a young age. This developed into a passion to work with women in the beauty industry. Svetlana wanted to capture the balance between internal and external beauty and deliver this to women through her services.

Migrating to Australia in 2002, Svetlana began extensive study completing an array of courses to work towards achieving her ultimate career in beauty. Overseas she studied a diploma at the Image Maker School off shore and even has a diploma in permanent tattoo make-up art, displaying her excellent creativity when it comes to waxing designs. Beauty Therapy and IPL courses followed in her new home of Sydney along with Assessment Training making her a qualified teacher in her industry. She also studied Public Speaking NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) to integrate into her method of teaching and differentiate herself from competitors.

Svetlana's clear complexion and beautiful Russian background has had her model for fashion magazines in Moscow, bridal hair magazines, working as an extra along with being an image and stylist consultant for photos hoots. Fluent in both Russian and English she also studied producing and presenting courses for television media - an industry she looks forward to gaining experience in. Her deep dedication to her studies and contagious personality has made Svetlana famous with her clients who adore her gorgeous personality, honesty and passion for their wellbeing.

Svetlana loves the freedom Australia provides women. She believes Australia gives women the freedom and the chance to "get what they want out of life, whatever that might be." She adores the country and is proud to be Australian.

In 2005, Svetlana opened a business called "Sweet Image." Although it was a great start to the industry, she found that clients could never remember her salon name. Svetlana was known to her clients as the Eyebrow Lady, Brow Perfectionist or Eyebrow Specialist. So in 2008, Svetlana followed this trend and now runs the highly successful EyebrowExperts salon.

EyebrowExperts is located in Sydney's charming suburb, Woollahra. Director and Chief Brow and Brazilian Artist, Svetlana has a passion for eyebrows and waxing that borders on the obsessive. With over fourteen years industry experience and a loyal client base of "eyebrow lovers" Svetlana has developed a unique eyebrow service along with the coveted 7-minute Brazilian wax.

Her success has stemmed from her true passion for women, beauty and style and Svetlana is dedicated to personalized attention, flawless service and ignores the one-size fits all approach to eyebrow art. In their eternal quest for perfect arches, armies of clued-in Sydney women have been enlisting the services of the eyebrow aficionados at EyebrowExperts all trained with Svetlana's unique method. Her clients range from senior managers, CEO's, the famous and infamous, housewives and students all who adore Svetlana's personalised treatments and high attention to detail. "A good aesthetician will work with you to create the perfect arch for YOU," says Svetlana. "I ask questions to find out exactly what the client is trying to achieve, whether it's growing brows back in, or creating a finer, more contoured shape. Personally, I don't believe people should blindly follow brow trends. The thickness or thinness of your eyebrows should be tailored to your face and personality."

Celebrating its 6th Birthday this year, EyebrowExperts continues to reign as a premium brow boutique in Sydney. Along with maintaining and looking after clients, Svetlana has a few other things on her agenda this year including featuring at the Beauty and Spa Expo and the birth of her first daughter. She is due in July and will take a short, well-deserved break before continuing on her journey to empower women to see their inner beauty.

Svetlana continues to focus on being an expert in her industry and aligned with her experience, thanks her clients for being such an amazing resource and the drive behind publishing her first book.

Confessions of a Brazilian Waxing Queen is a collection of Svetlana's most humorous, educational and inspiring experiences with her clients. A book that covers the broadest audience, she shares her stories, beauty secrets and tips that has her delivering beauty tutorials to women all day long. She would like to communicate this message nation-wide to share, inspire and teach.

Svetlana resides in Sydney with her partner Jerry, soon to arrive daughter and gorgeous pug, Oscar Samson B. She will forever be dedicated to her family, friends and clients and teaching that beauty truly does come from within.
