Take two cats, a dog, and a determined woman...

Animal lover Abby Pimm isn't looking for love. With two rescue cats, one rescue dog, a struggling business, and her fourteen-year-old sister to raise, she has her hands full. What she needs is an angel - though she'll settle for the devil if he'll invest in her fledgling company and keep it afloat.

Add a six-year-old girl...

Wealthy businessman Holden Ramsay is no devil. He's doing all the right things, and when he's forced to care for his ex's six-year-old daughter, he ends up hiring Abby as a temporary sitter - a woman who lights up his damaged heart, and perks up other organs as well. A woman who might be his redemption...or his downfall.

Who's rescuing who?

The animals that Abby rescued think maybe it's time they do a little rescue work of their own-because sometimes humans in love can be so dense...

    Ok twist on formulaic romance

Lightweight quirky romance told not only from the perspective of the heroine, but also from the perspective of her rescued pets. Makes for a quick read (166 pages on Nook). Formulaic story and setting, with likeable characters but predictable plot. The handsome rich bachelor suddenly finds himself parenting a six year old daughter from a prior failed marriage, has a perfect ( but really not so perfect) fiance, friendly rivalry with his younger brother, worries about keeping his business afloat, and finds himself gradually falling for the petite feisty redhead. The cute but feisty redhead is raising her younger sister after the sudden death of their parents, struggling to make ends meet, has love to spare for her rescued pets, younger sister and the young girl, but is afraid to risk love. Ok for a lightweight fluff read, but lacks the descriptive detail, drama, or complex depth of character development to really draw you in for more.

What a fun, sweet romance. The cover of this book is very fittin

What a fun, sweet romance. The cover of this book is very fitting for the story of Hearts in Motion. I have read several book by Edie and each one I read gets better!  Maybe not better, because all her books are great, but different than the last. In Hearts in Motion we are introduced to Abby and Holden. Two people I would never put together (you will see in the beginning of the story) but turned out so perfect for one another.  Holden is a very serious, businessman and Abby is a very lively woman who says what is on her mind (which is awesome). I love a story with kids and animals in it and this one had both! They bring such a different feel to the story.

Edie always writes such emotion into her books. I love that I really feel what the characters are feeling as though I am there with them. Her characters are well developed and the plot is always interesting and engaging. Not only did we get to read from Holden and Abby's point of view, but also from Abby's pets. If you are looking for a sweet romance that pulls at your heartstrings and gives you a wonderful happy ever after, I highly recommend Hearts in Motion!

    Will the story continue?

Enchanting story especially the animals speaking. I was hoping the series would continue with their new lives and the furniture merger and wedding. Please consider. Best part of the story is the animal's perspectives. Very unusual.

Hearts in Motion by Edie Ramer Rescued Hearts Book One Abby Pimm

Hearts in Motion by Edie Ramer
    Rescued Hearts Book One
Abby Pimm is getting desperate, as are her pets. She has to find a backer for her cat furniture business. Every time Abby and her business partner start getting ahead something happens to push them back. She refuses to ask the wealthiest man in Eagleton for a loan.

Holden Ramsay may be wealthy, but his employees are not. He has to find new ways to rebuild their furniture business. When his daughter is dumped off at his home he has no choice but to find someone to watch her. Even if it is the enthusiastic and gorgeous Abby.

Minnie, Quibley and Lion must help Mom find a way to be happy and keep them all fed. It's amazing what two cats and a dog can do when they are determined enough.

Loved this story. It's so unique to "hear" the animals communicate with each other. And to find ways to help their "Mom”. After all...who would feed them else?

    Fell hopelessly in love

I truly and completely enjoyed this book. It was totally different in the fact the animals talked; I especially love Minnie and the fact that the female lead was an animal lover who was too scared to love and lose made connecting to her so easy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!! With two thumbs up >,<
