    wow this is diffrent..

well i have to say that this album is definetly diffrent from their 2 prev albums. to me it just sounds soo diffrent i rem how much i used to love the other 2 dying for this to come then when it does i hear it and im like wat the heck is is this??? it sounds like they went hard rock-punk metal now to this?? now i know they are exploring other areas of rock/pop but to me it doesnt sound like them it sounds as if they are changing im a huge fan of the band but not this album . hopefully the next will be more energetic than this i know the band for wat they were not for wat they have beome now..although the only 2 songs i enjoyed were we cant be friends and the geeks get the girls. as i listened to the other stuff it just sounded more dissapointing to me and i am really hoping that the next album will be a nice recovery from this 1. i know some of may not agree with me but this album just totaly does not sound like them.

    What went wrong?

This band used to be one of the best rock bands around, this album depicts there collapse into the commercial market! I am shocked by the huge move away from the 'art of losing' and 'american hi-fi'! I only pray that the band has not lost its ability to play live, for it has surely lost the ability to play the music its true fans appreciate! RIP American Hi-Fi

If you don't have it, BUY it NOW!!

Hey guys, well i think you should really buy the album "Hearts on Parade" because its the best, unique cd that i've ever heard. The band really found the diff. spots which makes them stand out from all the other NORMAL bands. The cd is mixed with a bit of rock, pop, and adds a little sweetness in it. If you like Maroon 5, Simple Plan, Plain White T's, or maybe even the Killers then i no you will love this album. Trust me on this one....if you don't have the cd..nows YOUR time to buy it!!

    Could they get any better?

I'm a huge fan of American Hi-Fi and I've loved all of their releases and this one is no exception! The guitars (and lyrics) are cleaner and it has much groovier rhythms. A great summer anthem!!!

    Not up to par

There are too many slow and disco-like songs on this CD so this is my least favorite of AHF's 3 CD's. I miss the all out rock of "The Art of Losing". Must have songs you can dance to!!!

    GREAT STUFF

I saw these dudes in concert in Jan and I thought they were absolutly amazing! I have listened to the music on their web site OVER and OVER again and still love it. My favoirtes are Separation Anxiety and Geeks Get the Girls. I suggest one to get this album, or at least listen to it.

    American Hi-Fi Rocks and Rules!

This is AHF's best album yet! Every song is immediately likable, catchy, and sing-alongable... I never get tired of their music! Parts of these songs remind me of Elvis Costello, Clash (Sandinista album), Joe Jackson, Cheap Trick, and the Beatles... very cool stuff - not as punkish sounding as Art of Losing, a bit more radio friendly (none of the "f" word for a change!)... this band continues to evolve, and I continue to love them more and more with every listen!

American Hi-Fi rocks in their own way again

American Hi-Fi's newest album, Hearts on Parade once again takes the band in a different direction to deliver a musical experience that can only be described as awesome. Haters of this album will cry (like little girls with skinned knees) that it doesn't sound enough like the band's previous album, The Art of Losing, but the fact that this CD is different is what makes it worth listening to. It kicks off with Maybe Won't Do, a song that relies on it's funky bass line to set the stage for Hearts on Parade's theme. The Geeks Get the Girls is the first single and although I prefer the Japanese mix's intro, it's still rockin' and fun to sing along with. I dare one to listen to We Can't Be Friends and not dance to it's rockin' and groovin' beats. Songs like Something Real and The Everlasting Fall remind me of the Beatles by just how amazing they are all around plus they have a Beatles sound to them in the lyrics. Separation Anxiety stands out as the most angry sounding song of the album, dealing with the loss of a significant other and the inability to get over it. It rocks, it rolls, it kicks butt. Baby Come Home is a fantastic song that's amazing fun to sing along with and Where Did We Go Wrong shows some ska influences (which is great for me because I <3 Reel Big Fish). The album closes with the title track, Hearts on Parade, which does a fantastic job of summing up the album and making you feel like there's more great music in store from American Hi-Fi. The greatest thing about this album has to be it's all around sound. American Hi-Fi doesn't just release the same sounding album again and again, they go for something different, but at the same time the band retains many of the sounds/feelings that established them in the first place. It is not punk, it is not pop, this is rock n' roll in it's purest form. American Hi-Fi > All
