Meet the Author

Since Marie Higgins was a little girl playing Barbies with her sister, Stacey, she has loved the adventure of making up romantic stories. Marie was only 18 years old when she wrote her first skit, which won a Funniest Skit award. A little later in life, after she'd married and had children, Marie wrote Church road shows that were judged Funniest and Best Written. From there, she branched out to write full-length novels base on her dreams. (Yes, she says, her dreams really are that silly, and she's like that in real life.)

Marie has been married for 25 years to a wonderful man. Together they have three loving daughters and several beautiful grandchildren. Marie works full time for the state of Utah, where she has lived her entire life. She plans to keep writing, because the characters in her head won't shut up. But her husband smiles and pretends this is normal.

Hearts Through Time is Marie's third novel. Her other published novels include Winning Mr. Wrong and Heart of a Hero. Marie enjoys hearing from her readers and may be contacted at . Please visit her blog, http://mariehiggins84302.blogspot.com.

Marie: I've been writing for many years. I love romance - historical is my favorite, but I've written other genres. Currently, I have three books released, "Winning Mr. Wrong", "Heart Of A Hero", and "Hearts Through Time". My books are Christian or sweet romances.

I loved this book! The romance was beautiful. The chemistry between Nick and Abbie was great. I loved all the twists and turns the plot took. This was contemporary meets historical fiction. I love both genres so it was right up my alley.

The story was told from both characters' perspectives which is always fun. I enjoyed learning both of their thoughts through this way of story telling. The author took me on a wonderful journey of a love story that was worth fighting for.

    Great Time Travel Adventure!!!!

Hearts Through Time by Marie Higgins
If you like time travel like I do with a beautiful female ghost from the past trying to solve her murderfrom 100 years ago, you'll love this romantic, suspense tale.
Nick Marshall, upon seeing Abigail Carlisle out of nowhere in his office, he has thoughts of being crazy, but when Abby does things to prove she is a ghost from 1912, he comes to believe her. Abby has been stuck in his office building ever since her murder, but when she begins spending more time with Nick, she's able to venture through the barrier that keeps her from leaving the building. She also finds herself falling in love and so does Nick. With time, Abby becomes more real and when an accident happens, Nick is whisked back to investigate who murdered her and to find out if he can alter history. When he arrives, he finds that Abby doesn't recognize him and he needs to gain her trust to find who wants to murder her.
This tale has a lot of twists and turns, with a bit of ghostly humor tossed in. I totally loved this book, as it blends modern day with the past.
I bought my copy at amazon.

    Great Read

I always wondered how there could be a love relationship between a ghost and a human. Marie Higgins' sweet novel, Hearts Through Time, shows me how. Nick Marshal is trying to forget his wild and disruptive past, trying to start anew in Sacramento when a woman appears in his law office, claiming to be a ghost. She's tired of haunting the building she was murdered in a 100 years before. She asks Nick to help her find her murderer so she can pass onto the other side. Nick's resistant to her claim quickly vanishes, much as she does, into the mist. As they research the mystery together, they find themselves falling in love. So, what are soul mates born a hundred years apart to do?

Ms Higgins has written a heartwarming story about two disenchanted people who discover a love that transcends time and space. This story will have you hoping Nick and Abby can find their happily ever after and a love they both deserve.

    Highly Recommended

Abby and Nick have a connection and chemistry from the first moment she 'appears' in his office. The story takes you back and gives you a wonderful timeless love story. It's full of twists and turns, that I will not reveal because I do not want to spoil anything. I recommend reading this book.
