The purpose of the book is to organize the solution of heat conduction and diffusion problems and to make them more accessible. This is accomplished using the method of Green’s functions, together with extensive tables of Green’s functions and related integrals. The tables of Green’s function were first compiled as a supplement to a first-year graduate course in heat conduction.
