    Romance at it's best

    I've never been a big romance book fan, but being that my name is Heather and the title Was 'Heathers and Velvet' I thought I'd give it a try.. This book was amazing, I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of TM's books.

    I loved this book!

    I'm glad I didn't listen to the previous review. I almost picked up a different book but I thought I might as well read this one since I wanted to read all of this author's books after I read A Kiss To Remember, which I also loved. I just finished this book and I thought it was one of the best historical romances I've ever read. Teresa Medeiros's stories have a lot of humor in them, which I really appreciate.

    I love her books but this wasn't one of her best. Plot reminded me of bumper cars where they were together one moment and apart the next. It could have ended in at least 3 different places, but instead it just kept going and going and going.......

    It's funny but this is actually one of the best romances I've ever read. Not to say it's the best, because the above reviewer's right- Medeiros is often confusing and she frustrates her readers with her mind numbingly twisted plots- not because they're especially clever, but because they don't make sense at all. I mean you're bashing you're head against the wall trying to figure out how she drew this conclusion when it has nothing to back it up. Unfortunately, after all that Teresa Medeiros bashing, I still recommend this book. I'd read it just for the good parts, and the plot is interesting enough- some things just don't click right- but enough for you to truly get into the story. And the thing about Sebastian and Pru is, love/hate relationship or no, you can still tell they're crazy about each other, in fact this is one of the only hate/love relationships I've ever read in a novel that actually works. To come right down to it, I really did love it. A romance is a romance, whatcha gonna do?

    GOOD AND BAD

    This book is hard to rate. When I read what it was about I thought it would be the romance novel to end all novels. It started out awesome but it quickly began to lose it's appeal. I loved the plot but I didn't like the fact that Sabastian and Prudence had a strong love/hate relationship. It took them to long to get things straight and it seemed as if they never had a monent alone. At times the story line got a bit confusing and I got a little tired of Pru and Sabastian's indifference toward each other... I love the cover because these two made a striking pair, they look like they were made for each other!......Overall it was a good book but could have been better
