Meet the Author

T.M. Nielsen doesn't necessarily consider herself an author. She's an every-day woman who had a story to tell. Never intending to let anyone else read it, she decided to put it all down on paper. What she ended up with is a fascinating tale filling books full of drama, adventure, action, romance, and excitement. When asked why she decided to publish, she stated, "I want for others to be able to forget about problems in life and to lose themselves in my world... the world of the heku. While I write, I laugh, cry, grin, gasp, and my heart races. I want others to experience that too." T.M. Nielsen is a computer tech by trade and lives with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She's the author of Amazon.com's bestselling series The Heku Series and the Dimensions Saga, along with a Heku Series spin-off book called Return of the Encala. She's been listed numerous times on Apple's Breakout Books and on Amazon.com's top 20 in Fantasy. **** From TM **** I updated my books all the time! Check back often for new, cleaner versions. I can't afford an editor, but any time I hear of an error, I fix it immediately.

I was hesitant to get this one, sometimes those freebies aren't as good as they seem and the cover didn't inspire me to jump right in but once I started this book I couldn't put it down! Before I finished the first I had gotten the second, by the end I had them all! Read them back to back, staying up till the wee hours and snatching read time when ever I could. Loved it, loved it, Loved It!

I cannot get over this Emily character. She is a whining brat that has absolutely no common sense. She'll drive you crazy doing the stillest things she can think of. If not for the main character, Emily, I would like this series

I, sincerly, do not recommend this book for anyone, be you male or female, rich or poor, tall or thin, or anywhere inbetween. Although I do enjoy the writing and some parts of the plot, I do not have any desire to read anymore than what I have got to, about a quarter of the second book in the series. I do not want to, mainly because I find Emily stupid, in need of a major reality check, and all around annoying. She represents, to me, everything I do not like in the general female population, I myself being one of them. In fact, she gets attacked regularily in the beginning, but still has the same maturity level of a six-year-old! In what I've read so far, she's exprienced at least 3 major events that would not only kill most people, but if they had survived, they sure as #$%& would have had them acting a tad more adult-ish! She is stubborn to the point of idiocy, and not willing to listen to others much wiser than herself purely based on the fact that they Told her to do something, rather than Asked her! I feel as if Chevalier deserves a much better mate than some red-headed donkey that can't seem to get over herself, or move beyond the first impression she projects as a character.

I hate Emily!! She is a horribly weak, whiny, self loathing character. I can hardly keep reading that is how bad this girl bothers me. Hope it gets better or no way am I reading the second book. Sorry...

It may be just me but Emily really gets on my nerves; not good when the main character is annoying. The story itself is pretty good - interesting and well-paced. I much preferred Kyrin, this author's other series starting with "Dimension Shifter."

Sorry - dont get all the over the top ratings on this series. Emily is an immature spoiled brat and there is zero chemistry between her and chevalier. I'm not saying you have to have raunchy scenes to create asense of intimacy, sexual tension, and passion between two characters. In fact karen moning did a fabulous job of doing just that in her fae series without a lot of gratuitous sex. However in the heku series i found absolutely no reason to justify why the two lead characters were together much less why to plod through eight more books on the subject. Not a horrible book but not great either.

I really enjoyed the stories in the entire series. Once you hit about the 3rd or 4th book they get long (which I enjoyed) but it turns into a bunch of different stories in one story. I throroughly enjoyed the characters and the relationships between each one. I fell in love with the Characters in the book and not just one, but several. I would really reccomend. Was a good love story full of twist and turns along the way.

While there were times when it felt like the emotional tones of the characters were taken from Twilight, this book was amazingly good. I immediately downloaded the second book after finishing it.

Okay. I have read all nine books and the extra one. I thought I would start with this one for a review. I rarely do a review but had to on this, I enjoyed this book but be prepared for a change in Emily as you read the others. I highly recommend it, if this is your type of book,....and the others. I jumped to the 4th book to review again because by then I had a different perspective.
