Overview

Blackmailed into sex. Blackmailed into a love that would turn her life upside down and lead to a world of transforming passion and desire such as she'd never imagined existed—that's what happened to Helene Blanchard the day she went to meet the mysterious stranger at that down-at-the-heels motel. She went in a tough, young executive, and emerged as someone else—someone sexual, sensual, and entirely fulfilled.

Helene Blackmailed is the story of one woman's transformation under a man's demanding passion, a passion that respects neither limit nor law in its desire to make her utterly his.

More than a simple tale of sex and domination, Helene Blackmailed explores the psychological struggle of a contemporary woman trying to reconcile her worldly independence with her newly discovered desires for the thrill of sexual submission, a struggle in which Helene emerges victorious and even stronger than before.

I love a good erotic blackmail story, and HELENE BLACKMAILED was very well-done. Helene, a ball-busting business executive, is lured to a seedy hotel by a gorgeous stranger in an expensive suite. He shows her photographs of herself in a compromising position, and he threatens to go public with them if she doesn't obey his commands. Helene is both revolted and surprisingly aroused by his demands. Up until that moment, sex to her was a chore, but with this anonymous stranger, she can live out her secret submissive fantasies guilt-free. He is forcing her to do it, after all. Her blackmailer, Daniel, seems to know what Helene needs more than she does. Told from Helene's point of view, the story delves deep into her inner struggle over submitting to a man. She questions why a dominant businesswoman would what such a thing, yet she does, and it fulfills her in a way she could never have imagined. At one point in the book, the story quietly changes from past tense to present tense. This was either a genius move on the author's part to show the point where Helene truly accepts her submission to Daniel and therefore sees life differently, or it was a huge editing error. Ha! Considering Mr. Mabeuse's fine writing style, I don't think it's the latter. Helene and Daniel's relationship was unconventional to say the least, but it worked for them, and it worked for me. This story contains spanking, whipping and bondage, but nothing too extreme. 5-stars!
