    Super starter, but not enough for a book

    Helen Chen clearly knows her way around a standard Chinese restaurant kitchen and her introductory chapters are superb. Using her methods, I am now cooking stir-fries at least once a week and my family begs for more. The reason the rating isn't higher is that there are really only four basic recipes in the book; everything else is just a variation on wine-based, black-bean sauced, sweet-and-sour or fried rice/noodles. THey're delicious and I'm glad I bought the book, but now that I've mastered the four techniques, I doubt I'll ever take down this slender volume again.

    A good Chinese stir-fry cookbook.

    I have cooked several recipes from this book. I was looking for a semi-easy Chinese stir-fry cookbook and I found it!
