Meet the Author

William Tackett is the author of the textbook "General Aviation Firefighting for
Structural Firefighters" published by Delmar Thompson Learning and the short story "Helicopters and Horses" e-published at Barnes and Noble. He was a firefighter/paramedic for over 30 years, is currently a General Aviation pilot, and an occassional marathon runner. He has been published in various periodicals, is currently crafting short stories for e-publishing, and has recently completed the draft of a new book based on his firefighting experiences.

    Men!

    He shouldn't have been such a putz, but at least he learned something from the experience. I guess an old dog can learn a new trick!

    Great Short Story

    I thought this was a terrfic story. Realizing that you never know what will happen from one minute to the next.
