Hmmm. I liked it. I felt as if it was more like a chapter one rather than a prologue given the feel that it gave off. Prologue are usually more mysterious. But otherwise it was good. The grammar and suspense were good.

    Sparks Of Force ~ Prologue

"Why should I listen to you?" challenged Ignatius, his eyes blazing.
"Oh...hmmm...I don't know....because I might kill you..." replied the dark lord. He pulled his hood over his head and tightened the cuffs on Ignatius's wrists. Ignatius groaned. "Tell me everything."
"No!" Ignatius shot back in a strangled voice. The cuffs tightened and he winced.
"What's more important to you? Your life, or those mangy creatures?" The dark lord stared directly at Ignatius.

"I won't tell you a thing." The cuffs tightened a little more, now squeezing his wrists painfully.
The dark lord glared at him. "Oh, fine. Then you shall die!"

He grabbed a syringe and filled it with a glowing purple liquid. Then, he injected it quickly into Ignatius's arm. Ignatius's throat immediately began to close up, making him choke. The lord smiled evilly and walked off. "You won't get away with this..." he gasped for air, his eyes filled with pain. "....Lord Revolution!"

Ignatius's chest swelled, and he frantically tried to get out of the cuffs, the purple liquid already spreading through his veins. With a strong yank, his right wrist burst up and snapped the cuff, and he strained to reach the switch. His fingertip barely touched it, and he stretched his aching arm further, moving it forward.

The cuff loosened, and he slipped his other hand out, collapsing to the floor. He moaned as his throat tightened completely, and for a long minute he frantically held his puffy throat, choking and gasping before going unconscious.
