Meet the Author

I live in beautiful Queensland in Australia. I started writing in 2009 because I wanted to do something creative and haven't stopped since! I have two series of books:

The Heller series (first book Heller - free!) features the frequently outlandish adventures of security officer, Tilly Chalmers, and her complicated relationship with her beautiful, mysterious and intense boss, Heller. There will be seven books in total in this series.

The Little Town series (first book Blood Ties - free!) features police officer, Tess Fuller, and her struggle to survive a long-standing vendetta with the feral Bycraft family and at the same time manage the tense relationship between her new partner, Finn Maguire, and her boyfriend, Jake Bycraft. There will be five books in total in this series.

My author dream is to one day write a short story (which for me will probably be about 50,000 words!) where Tilly & Heller meet Tess & Finn. What a story that would be! Maybe over the end-of-year break???

I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them! I'd love to hear your feedback, so why not email me at: jdn.author@gmail.com

Loved it. Can't wait to see what comes next for Tilly an Heller. Will we ever find out about his background, family and mysterious missions? Will Farrell find a woman? Will Clive ever warm up to Tilly? Will Daniel find a partner? I truly can not wait for the next book. I hope some of these questions get answered. Keep up the good writing.

Not on the same level as the rest of the series

I enjoy the other books, but this book did not make me want to keep reading. There was too much gruff mindless f*cking. The word meatdrill is Never sexy. The main characters are STILL not realistic, likeable, or emotionally functioning adults. The middle was silly and out of place. The book got better towards the very end, but then abruptly stopped. I hate to say this, but I doubt I will bring myself to buy the next installment.

    Best yet!

JD Nixon outdid herself with this continuation of the Heller/Tilly series! I was so engrossed in the story that reaching the end of the book caught me completely by surprise. Now on to the second time around!

    Same old same old...

Dont get me wrong, the book was funny. Love that her and Heller are a couple so to speak. But, i am tired of her constantly screwing up and having to be rescued. Its like the number books by Evanovich. At what point in time do you quit making bad decisions? I hope the next book is better as i was really looking forward to the release of this book and enjoy the series for the most part.

    Let it go

I really enjoyed the series at first, but now it's grown tedious. How many times can Tilly put herself in the same ridiculous situations. Also, there were no conclusions to any of the scenarios. I think this will be my last book in the series.

    Stop

J.D., it is time to put Tilly and Heller to rest. Your editing is terrible, Tilly is getting dumber and there's no progress in her development nor anyone else for that matter. The next book should be the last in the series before you turn into Janet Evanovich.

    Loved it!!!!!!!

This book was incredible, filled with an equal amount of sass and spunk. Tilly rocks! And although Heller can be a real pain in the batooty, he's pretty cool too. Also, I'd recommend this to anyone aand everyone. You go, Mz. Nixon! Five freaking stars!

I love the Heller's series but this # 5 series, I was let down by Tilli's stupidity ( e.g. no gas in car, helping Heller's family escape and hid them in heller's house?- ). I hope Heller's Regret will be better one and Tilly's character improves and shows maturity.

I read the first four books in the Heller series and found them entertaining and they held my interest. Unfortunately Heller #5 did not meet my expectations in these areas.

This book wasn't nearly as good as the previous ones in the series. Tilly just wasn't her quirky self. The story seemed to drag and didn't have the typical crazy line that the others have had. I hope the next is more fun and Tilly gets back to her previous self when she worked for Heller.

    OMG!!!!!!

This series just keeps getting better and better! Tilly's antics will have you laughing from page one!!! Heller is hotter than ever but still remains oh so mysterious -- kinda makes him even sexier if that's even possible.

This book (series) is not for people that cannot laugh at off-the-wall situations or for people that do not enjoy reading about a good romp in the hay -- or, in Tilly's case, a combination of the both!!! OR for women that do not enjoy dominant male personalities, for this book (series) is full of them.

I would recommend that you start with the first in this series (it's free, what have you got to loose), Heller. There are a lot of references to things that have occurred in the previous books that could leave a reader lost if they haven't read those. I promise you will be hooked. They are quick wonderful fun reads. Once I start one, I don't want to put it down! You should try out J.D. Nixon's Blood Ties series also. It is just as fabulous, and the first of it is free also.

Thanx for my several hours of fun Ms. Nixon!!!!! I ALWAYS enjoy your stuff. Although I HATE waiting all that time between books, you always make it worth the wait!!!
