All Music Guide - Jared Johnson
The title of the follow-up to 2006's See the Morning refers to the core of worship services -- the expression of love for God. Hello Love is a call for worship services to focus back on that core message. Throughout his meteoric rise, Chris Tomlin was frequently quoted as saying that his goal has always been to create worship music that was accessible by the greatest audience and was the most appropriate for congregations to participate in. He has never claimed to be the first to put his thoughts into song, yet clearly Tomlin has reached new listeners and broadened the church's base with his simplistic yet catchy arrangements. Hello Love finds him again embracing riffs that make for easy singalongs, such as on "Jesus Messiah" and "Praise the Father, Praise the Son." Only slightly less memorable than his previous two albums, Hello Love would still be considered a feather in the cap of any artist's discography.

    Poor Christmas shipping

I ordered three items in December, one of my items was a pre-order for something coming out in January. All over the web-site they posted guaranteed shipping for Christmas if your item was purchased prior to December 19. I placed my order on December 17, I got one item on December 29 and one on January 28 and the pre-order that was supose to come out on January 26 got delayed and they would not ship it to me until I confirmed I still wanted it, this delayed that another week. I won't do business with Barnes & Noble again.

    An Awesome worship album

I first heard the music at Chris' concert and was mildly impressed. As I have continued to listen and have sung the songs myself, it has become one of my favorites. "I Will Rise" is one of the most beautiful songs of Jesus' promise that we will be with Him. I have given the album to a believer dying of pancreatic cancer and one whose husband has gone to be with the Lord - what a song of hope!!
The more I hear the album, the more I love it.

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

    Chris Does it again!

Our generation's best Christian song-writer has produced another great compilation of songs that touches the heart of what God wants to speak to us. From the hymn-like "All the Way my Savior Leads Me" to the soulful "Let It Rise" to the Radio-anthem "Jesus Messiah" it is an album filled with congregation singable, Spirit-filled songs. Picking a favorite song from the album is akin to choosing your favorite child. "Hello Love" showcases why Chris Tomlin is the most sung Christian artist of all time! I thank God everyday for Chris Tomlin.
