Children's LiteratureThe protagonist of this tale dons pants and a shirt for a sunny day but, just as she is ready to go out the door, she discovers that clouds have arrived. She changes into a sweater and heads out the door again. This time the wind stops her, and she reaches for a scarf and jacket. After changing clothes to deal with rain and then snow, she finds herself outside ready to sing and dance. She builds a snowman and, at the end of the day, says hello to the moon as she makes her way home. She closes the door to the "moon and snow and rain and wind and clouds and sun" and changes into her pajamas. She expresses thanks for her adventures and crawls into bed after a long day, saying good night. Cheerful, bright acrylic illustrations exude the character's adaptability and enthusiasm for the day, regardless of the weather. 2005, Dial Books for Young Readers/Penguin Young Readers Group, Ages 2 to 6.
