Meet the Author

Professional

As an author and speaker, I help people build their spiritual legacies. I mentor them in life skills that translate into an intentional walk of faith, which will pass on, like a baton to family, friends, and co-workers. Those individuals can grab hold and run with this legacy now and long after the believer's portion of the race is finished. A spiritual legacy should be a clear record of a person's walk of faith, communicating that living for Jesus and being empowered by His grace is more than enough. All of my books, ebooks, courses, and blog posts relate to building a positive, powerful, spiritual legacy.

As one of the staff pastors of Father's House in Atascadero, California, I direct the Ministry Training Center and the Counseling Team as well as guide our women's ministry, Forever Girlfriends.

I am the author of "Help, I'm Stuck With These People for the Rest of Eternity!," "Intercessors, God's End-time Vanguard," and the "Eternal Foundations for a New Generation" series. During my years in ministry, my articles have been published in Ministry Today, SALT magazine, Advance Magazine, The Teaching Home, and for Foursquare Women International. I am the past editor of the newsletter Tender Touch, published for pastors' wives on the Western District of Foursquare Churches.

As a conference and retreat speaker, I teach on a variety of subjects including building a spiritual legacy, relationships, spiritual disciplines, intercession, contemplative prayer, leadership, and parenting.

Personal

Growing up on a California ranch as the oldest of four children taught me the importance of family, fun, and responsibility. My memories include egg fights in the barn, swimming in cow troughs, lots of hard work, and building tree forts. High School was a mixture of band practice and football games. I met my future husband, Tom, in drama class; I believe some academics were thrown in somewhere. I devoured library books and still consider reading my favorite recreational activity.

After finishing L.I.F.E. Bible College, Tom and I returned to the Central Coast and have pastored Father's House, a Foursquare Church in Atascadero, CA, ever since. Six children and a number of grandchildren later, we are still learning what it means to be spiritual people. It is my firm belief that God gives us a family so our dysfunctional attitudes will rise to the surface where he can address them. Then he blesses us with grandchildren as a way of sweetening the process.

When not writing or busy with church responsibilities, I enjoy my grandchildren, scrapbooking, gardening, and a cafe' mocha from the Starbucks down the road.
