Overview

TRUTH . . .

Frm the heights of a crumbling skyscraper to the tropical retreat of a Manhattan real estate magnate, private detective, Tom :Larkin, seeks the truth about rare manuscripts from the 1920's Lost Generation.

Though David Trask say's he'll stake his life on the authenticity of the manuscripts found in an old steamer trunk, just as he uses other people's money to make billion-dollar deals, he'll stake other people's lives to prove the manuscripts were written by Ernest Hemmingway before any of his published books.

OR CONSEQUENCES

Trask's supermodel trophy wife, Sophia, hires Larkin to protect her husband in his dealings among shady characters with dubious credentials who believe the manuscripts could be worth more as fakes that as the genuine article, and they will kill anyone who gets on their way.

From the high-end of estate liquidators and appraisers into the jaws of death, Larkin believes the truth is to die for, but the man-eaters he encounters run the gamut from the hot-blooded vixens to cold-blooded reptiles.

Larkin won't cut off his grabby train because David Trask rubs him the wrong way, so he'll play the waiting game to see if, when a body shows up, it will be Trask's or his own.
