Building on the success of the first book, this one features greater use of colored hemp and more fantastic patterns. With market-tested patterns and a little hippie humor, this guide will keep you smiling as you learn. And, as Max says, "If you enjoy doing something, you do it well. If you enjoy learning something, you learn it well." This book contains an abundance of illustrations and photographs to complement the clear, complete instructions.
The projects include chokers, necklaces, anklets, a belly chain with bells, bracelets and a belt (it is gorgeous). Finally there are four patriotic projects in red, white and blue, including an American flag tied with alternating square knots, a USA armband (learn to tie the letters of the alphabet), a lacy bracelet and a proud American rear view mirror charm.
The Introduction has definitions of terms used in the book (knotting and hippie lingo), hemp facts everyone should know and a hippie history poem. How To Begin details deciding how long to cut the hemp for a particular project and how to start tying a piece of hemp jewelry. There is also a section of Helpful Hints and Hippie Secrets for working and knotting with hemp cords. The Knotting Guide explains all of the knots and their variations.
Written for both beginning and seasoned crafters, this volume should prove invaluable for any person wishing to learn more about hemp, knotting techniques, and making irresistible jewelry.

This is book 2 of the Hemp Masters series and to tell you the truth you will NOT learn any new knots from this book if you already have the first book. However, what you will learn is how to add color to your pieces without it looking 'nasty'! The majority of the colors used are neutral which is great, because I don't feel overwhelmed. The instructions and diagrams are very easy to follow and the example pieces are very nice. There is a lot to learn from in this book, and I'm very happy with it.
