    So disappointed

    I had read Compromising Positions and enjoyed it so I thought I'd try Her Cinderella Complex by Bayley-Burke as well. I was very disappointed.
    The major downfall for me was the how plot jumped from the main characters first meeting to months later so the reader can't see the relationship grow. Any novel, especially romance, needs to see the relationship develop is order to feel attached to the characters and want to continue reading to see what happens next. The plot also jumped ahead is a few other spots. The characters seemed dull, probably due to the lack of development that could have been added if the relationship had been developed more in the begining. I also felt that the same issues were repeated. Heather has issues with the relationship between her and Curtis and I felt like a majority of the book was her repeating the same thing over and over again, beating the subject to a bloody pulp. Also, a random tidbit I noticed, the pages were misnumbered (though this may just be a personal issue which won't bother other people). The page numbers jumped, going from 2, to 8, to 14, to 24 and the story starts on page 35. The just leaves me feeling cheated.
    There were so many places the story could have gone but it kept with the boring path. I'm the type of person who will stick with a book till the end and I almost gave up on this one - which is really saying something. However, I do recomend trying Compromising Positions by the same author.
