Overview

Lily Gibson is a successful artist, and life was great until she was attacked by a knife-wielding stalker and left with a slashing scar across her face. Then she had to endure the media making her the poster child for stalking victims. All she wants is to go back to the way life was before. But her experiences since the attack, of guys being with her either because they feel sorry for her or because she's famous now, have led her to Pleasure Ridge Ranch in Nevada. Here she wants to enjoy being in a lover's arms in the dark, so he won't see her or know who she is. What she doesn't expect is to feel more for her fantasy lover than makes any sense. And she's not the only one feeling more this time around. Former rodeo bull rider Connor Langston's dream of a national championship ended when a bull nearly trounced him to death, ending his career. Now the only way he's found to pay the bills and provide the necessary care for his dementia-stricken mother is to work at Pleasure Ridge Ranch, having sex with an endless parade of women. But when he's with Lily, he feels different. And he realizes that after her, he can't be with anyone else at the ranch. These two broken souls didn't go to Pleasure Ridge looking for love, but they just might find it anyway.

This was a 146 nook pages and was a quick easy read. About two people who find each other when they need each other most. Conner is a man who has it rough lately with life. He works at a dude ranch after his rodeo days were cut short to injuries from a mean bull. Needs the money for his sick mom's in home care. In comes Lily whose had it rough the last 3 years between all the pity and loneliness. A man whom did not like the word no to a date, attacked Lily with a knife when she was at an art show for her art. Lily has a scar baring the mark the mad man caused on her cheek. She decided to have a week at the dude ranch, but under the condition of her fantasies being done in the dark.

Lily and Conner meet and it is a mending of the hearts and souls.

Good story with plenty of steamy loving!! :)

Scarred (and scared) Lily hasn't been with a man in three years, since a stalker scarred her face. Desperate, she comes to Pleasure Ridge Ranch for a chance to reconnect. Her one stipulation--her cowboy lover has to come to her in the dark.

Cowboy Connor needs good money to keep his ailing mother in her home, and since he busted his leg in the rodeo a few years back, his best bet is working at Pleasure Ridge Ranch. Once he meets the skittish Lily, though, he's not sure he can do this anymore.

I just loved these damaged characters coming together to find love and passion.
