Enjoyable & Fun, A must read!

I really enjoyed this one. Shanna is 18 years old and a demon hunter who's parents were murdered by... can you guess? You got it, demons. She teams up with a misfit crew to hunt down baddies that have started killing hunters. You've got shifters, werewolves, all kinds of demons, vampires, various others dark creatures, and a mermaid thrown in for good measure. Also some kind of secret history going on with Shanna that will keep me reading the series.

Not terribly original but a great read none the less. The writing was very descriptive and sometimes almost poetic in places.

Put this one on your to read list!

    unforgetable read

A mashup of XMen and City of Bones. This read like a superhero team comic but with monsters. Lots of fun and great characters. I havent read a book this good in a while.

    LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!

I loved loved loved Her Dark Destiny. It was filled with action from the first chapter all the way through to the end. Which kept my attention and I really didn't want to go to work in the morning or go back to work after lunch. Her Dark Destiny reminded me of my favorite TV show Supernatural. Shanna starts hunting demons after they murdered her parents I totally think her and Sam would get along very well (Sorry Shanna Dean is mine). I liked how the story wasn't focused on just one supernatural creature but it was a supernatural buffet.

I liked all the characters. There was a character that everyone could relate it, which I liked. I would love to see Her Dark Destiny as a movie; Hollywood would be able to make this awesome book and even more fantastic movie. Besides The Hunger Games keeping me on the edge of my seat and Cassandra Clare's writing that puts a spell on me, I think I have found a new favorite series that seriously makes me want to stay up all night reading.

    Must read

This book was a bit of a surprise. I picked this up because it was so cheap, and lets face it, anytime someone picks up a book for 99 cents they do not tend to expect something great from it. Or maybe you do, and after these past weeks I am going to start looking at books like this completely differently.

This book starts out the a bang, just how I like them really. It also reminded me a lot of Cassandra Clares books, you know, The Mortal Instruments and whatnot? I was not expecting that either! But I was super happy about it. This book also took on everyone in the hunting group. I liked getting a taste of how everyone was seeing things and dealing with them, let alone their feeling toward it all. You also get a bit of everything in this book. Demons, Giants, Wolves, Vampires, and pretty much anything else you want to encounter.

I really love how you get a mystery in this book that is pretty big, that is something looming over our main character. She knows she is destined for something bigger, but doesn't know what. I really want to figure this out, but it is drawn out into the next book, and let me tell you now, you do not get much about this mystery. Other than the fact that this picture and person look alot like her, and she is now getting visions about this person (who is really her in a past life I am guessing) after meeting a hunky vamp who has an idmediate attraction to her. Sorry everyone but as soon as this hunk came into a book, I was no longer a Cam fan. I am a BIG lover of love triangles and was surprised that there wasn't one. I was super happy when Damian came into the story. Vampires always seems to catch girls hearts don't they? [:

There is a nice little story going on for every character though. Problems to work out, pasts to confront, new problems surfacing everyday they are in The Agency. It is a page turner for sure. Pick this book up, you will be pleasantly surprised. It is a perfect mixture of romance, lust and pure action.

    WOW

Her Dark Destiny blindsided me. I bought it on a whim because it was just .99 but I would have def paid hardcover price for it. Its an epic action story with the right amount of romance and plenty of cool characters and villains.

    Very well written jmm44

Combines interactions of vampires & werewolves & other supernatural beings with humans in a story of mystery & intrigue as the groups try to "cancel" each other out! --- The story is about twice as long as you expect as each page 'number' has at least 2 pages of text. Also frequently the word 'passed' is used instead of 'past'......

    A good start

Her Dark Destiny is a good first book to this series. I liked it but just didn't love it. It started off slow and really didn't pick up until half way through.

Shanna Hunt, the main character is a demon hunter. She has been hunting demons since her parents were killed by them. She has been a lone hunter trying to keep her secret from her best friend. After a night at a new club Shanna decides to join The Agency. It's a secret organization of hunters of multiple species headed by a woman named Valor. Shanna must learn to hunt along side other hunters and stay alive at the same time.

The author features many of the different characters point of views throughout the book. I thought this way a nice touch. Although there were times when I got confused with so many different characters and they are all different types of hunters. We get a little background information about them but not much. I am interested in knowing more about Valor, Shanna and Damien. I also liked that there are different species... vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches, demons, etc. There is a lot of action, some romance and suspense.

Overall a good book. I am going to continue with this series and see where it goes. This e-book was provided to me by the author for review. This did not affect my review in any way.

    Good book!

One thing I loved about this book is the great jam packed action in it. So much fighting and so much drama leaves the reader hooked and unable to put down the book. The plot line of the book moves at a good pace never leaving behind the reader but enticing them to follow.

The main character of this book is really my kind of gal. She doesn't put up with anything and fights so awesome! She is fresh and strong, really knows what she wants and goes for it!! The other minor characters in the book played bigger parts than what I thought. That was a nice touch.

My only gripe about this book is the constant point of view switching. While I enjoyed seeing things from different characters point of view, I wish the transition has been smoother. Overall this is a great enjoyable reader that all readers can enjoy! Strong characters and great writing, Her Dark Destiny is a good book!
