Being in the wrong place at the wrong time, plump librarian Eva Walkers witnesses a man being murdered by the Russian mafia. Three months later, the Feds put her in the witness protection program. Reborn with new identity as Eva Smith in a new town, she tries to pick up her life where she had left off. Unfortunately, the vory v zakone is able to track her down to finish her. They shoot Eva and dump her body into the river.

Dragon shifter and reclusive billionaire Liam Caderyn is having his midnight stroll when he sees a woman’s body wash out in the stream of his property. He saves her and nurses Eva back to life. Wildly attracted to her, Liam claims that Eva is his wife when she wakes up with amnesia. He figures the lies will keep her with him while he investigates her mysterious past. And besides, he really wants to claim her as his mate.

However, Eva’s past catches up with her and the ruthless vory v zakone gets wind of her whereabouts. They come to settle the score once and for all. But they don’t know Liam. As a businessman, he’s well-rehearsed in power plays. As a dragon, he’s dangerous and protective over what belongs to him.

Meet the Author

Lizzie Lynn Lee was a guitarist, receptionist, executive assistant, tarot reader, boutique owner and graphic artist before she discovered writing is her dream job. The advantage is she can do it in her pajamas and socks. She’s an incurable chatterbox, heavy metal aficionado, book worm, digital enthusiast and a night owl since most of her stories were done in the wee hours of the morning because of her caffeine-induced insomnia. These days she still plays her guitar whenever she gets bored, staring at her computer’s screen or plotting the most elaborate scheme of world domination. Fortunately, she has a chronically short attention span.

I would like to recommend it.....

Where the story line is going is very good, but the author made the book like it was made in a rush...I would have preferred the story to be longer..or is there a second book???

    Not worth the time

The premis was interesting but the story was WAY to rushed for it to develop well. The main female lead was a clueless character that just sort of accepted everything she was told with no real fight or thought involved. I couldn't connect with the equally clueless mail lead either.

    Pretty good

There were a lot of grammar mistakes and mismatched words, but the story overall was fresh and interesting.

    It was a good read

I will admit that I was attracted to the cover first, but was greatly surprised that it was a good read.

    Erica

I loved this book. It had a great story. But it seemed a little rushed. The book would have been better if it were longer.

    Fun story

Dragons, rubenesque librarians, amnesia and mafia. What more could a reader want from a story? A great story to read if you all four things mentioned.

Wow! Dam good book unfortunately it was too short for my tastes.

Wow! Dam good book unfortunately it was too short for my tastes. It could have been developed as a full scale book and I would have liked that. I think the plot just moved too quickly, he finds her and the scenes of him caring for her could have been drawn out and the author could have embellished on her amnesia a bit and then after spending a few days together they both love each other. That just wasn't realistic to me. Great read I just did it within a hour.
