Meet the Author

Julia Kent turned to writing romance novels after learning that she could not work as a fighter pilot because her fear of flying disqualified her. Turning to her second love, she became a dog groomer, but had to abandon that job after adopting too many strays. Writing about very real, very flawed people is a natural extension of her life and, well, her. She lives on the east coast with her partner, two small children, seventeen dogs that weigh less than fifteen pounds each, and a monthly consumption of Nutella, brie and french bread that makes cardiologists cringe.

She loves to hear from her readers by email at

Read this review before you start the series!!

Yes this book is free. And yes it is pretty good and fairly entertaining and even leaves you wanting to learn more about Laura and her potential menage a trois with two hunky men. And therein lies the problem. While this 124 page novella is free, the following three and equally short sequel stories are not, clocking in at $3 each. So unless you want to spend $9 on three short novellas to see how the story ends, don't waste your time with the first one. It will just leave you frustrated.

I loved this! Well-done; it made me feel like the heroine, and I experienced the highs and the lows of the emotions while reading this.

The story caught my interest because it started on the basis on online dating. Laura is overweight and is looking for a man who will accept her as she is. She writes an outlandish profile for an online dating site and her friend convinces her to post it.

Dylan was in a threesome relationship, but 18 months ago the woman passed away from cancer. Dylan and his other part of the threesome, Mike, would like to find a woman who will accept them for who they are, and willing to share herself with both of them.

The twist is that Dylan's and Mike's lover, Jillian, was very rich (unbeknownst to them) and left them all of her estate, which made them billionaires overnight. These men are not your average, arrogant super rich men. They are regular guys who recently came into alot of money.

This story is very creative in developing the storyline, then the immediate attraction between Dylan and Laura. I felt Laura's anguish at wondering if her blind date would accept her size; then the thrill as Dylan swept her away with romance and passion. The ending of the story is unpredictable, and it felt real and believable. Stay tuned for more in Her Second Billionaire!

Overweight and reserved Laura is persuaded by a girlfried to enter the world of online dating and is amazed to have a sexy firefighter ask her out within twenty-four hours of listing her profile. Trouble is the sexual chemistry is so hot Laura breaks her no sex on the first date rule...and sexy Dylan has some dark secrets to boot. Staying tuned to see what happens next as this intriguing storyline may be addictive.

    Good story but...read on

If you like this first part buy the boxed set so you don't waste you money paying $2.99 for each of the 3 remaining parts. I pissed off & won't buy the last book because I didn't know the boxed collection was available for only $2.99- its listed under "Her First Billionaire" only! But you would be searching for the next in series "Her Second Billionaire" and wouldn't find it.

    It wasn't bad.

I liked the fact that the main characters were portrayed as regular people-the "billionaire" part was kept to a minimum, but the menage-a-trois bit turned me off. This was about her and one of the guys, the other one is his roommate, and they used to share the roommate's wife, but she died, so the main guy was looking for someone. He found this girl, who always wondered what that was like, being the girl in a man sandwich, and that part will be explored in the following book, Her Next Billionaire. If that's what you're into, go for it. Not me.
