Overview

How far will you go to protect the one you love?

Finally, after many long and lonely years, vampire James Wentworth’s life is falling into place. With his wife, Sarah, the only woman he has ever loved, he has found the meaning behind her nightmares about the Salem Witch Trials, and now they are rebuilding the life they began together so long ago.

But the past is never far behind for the Wentworths. While Sarah is haunted by new visions, now about the baby she carried over three hundred years before, James is confronted with painful memories from his time with the Cherokee on the Trail of Tears. Through it all, the persistent reporter Kenneth Hempel reappears, still determined to prove that the undead walk the earth. If Hempel succeeds in his quest, James and Sarah will suffer. Will the curse of the vampire prevent James and Sarah from living their happily ever after?

Her Loving Husband’s Curse is Book Two of the Loving Husband Trilogy. Book One, Her Dear & Loving Husband, and Book Three, Her Loving Husband's Return, are now available from Copperfield Press.

OH.....MY....Gosh!!!! This book is so well written. You get drawn in, the characters become real friends and you become part of their lives. They are vampires and witches but they are not living the "normal" vampire and witch lives. This is a romance/suspense story that cannot be put down until you read "just one more chapter." I've read many romance books and paranormal books that have sad parts, but this is the only book that made me actually cry. You'll love this book and the way it's written. Can't wait for book number 3 to come out next spring! Want to thank Meredith Allard for writing such a fantastic series!!!

Finally, after many long and lonely years, James life is falling into place. Together with his wife, Sarah, the only woman he has ever loved, he has found the meaning behind her nightmares about the Salem Witch Trials (read Her Dear and Loving Husband), and now they are rebuilding the life they began together so long ago. Will the curse of the vampire prevent James and Sarah from living their happily ever after? Because the past is never far behind..... The author does a fantastic job of intertwining historical facts (Trail of Tears) and paranormal characters. I highly encourage you to read this series. I can not wait until the third book comes out.

I loved getting to continue on the journey with Sarah and James. I also read this book in 3 days. You get so wrapped up in the story because it seems so real that you can't put it down. I'm looking forward to the 3rd book coming out in 2013.

Although I am beginning to wonder if readers are now stuck forever with stories of vampires and werewolves I did enjoy reading this one. I liked the historical information and the love story behind it. I am starting the second book and look forward to seeimg where James and Sarah are leading us now.

This is a great sequel. The secondary characters have more exposure and the couple is growing in love. Again the author did a great job bringing the past of the Salem to the present day. Now that we know James's secret I wanted to help him protect it. I enjoyed having a character to hate (Kenneth). Vampires and ghosts plus a helping of mystery and history make this a 5/5 for me. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.

I loved this story. I couldn't wait to read more about Sara and James. I loved the way their daughter Grace was brought into the story. The way the author brings in historical details like the Salem Witch Trials and the Trail of Tears, makes you feel like you were there. Very interesting for someone who likes history like I do. I wish I had not seen this series until all 3 books were done (which they are now). I couldn't wait to read the third one. Give it a try - you won't be sorry.

Thought first book was a bit better. Still the story was good. Like the way Grace is brought into story. Not sure I liked the ending, but assume I will like it better once the next book is read.
