Maddie Rose is feisty and independent. When Cowboy Cliff Masterson helps her load a 2,000 pound bull to save her from further injury, she is irritated that he is interfering. She doesn't want him to think she can't do her job, but in her heart she is touched by his gentleness and caring. These two immediately share a emotional bond. Will it grow into something more? Will Maddie open her heart and take a chance on love? Debra Clopton has written a story that is filled with emotion, romance and tenderness. Maddie works hard to overcome the memories of her abandonment as a baby. Growing up in foster care was lonely. She felt no one wanted her. Cliff is ready to make changes in his life. His alcoholic father has left his mark even in death. Can these two wounded people learn to trust and give their heart to each other? The story is beautifully written. The characters had realistic problems that they learned to deal with . The small town setting and its strong cast of secondary characters added to the charm. Her Mule Hollow Cowboy is touching. I loved the story. It lifted my spirits. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Her Mule Hollow Cowboy by Debra Clopton
Maddie Rose was determined to work as hard as her male partners on the ranch that was willed to them all. She finally had a place to belong. Putting her past behind her and deciding if she couldn't have her dream, at least she had this.
Cliff Masterson thought he was living the dream being on the bull riding circuit. Now that his dad died, he stopped to realize maybe he'd been running all these years. When he went to stay with his brother Rafe and look for land in Mule Hollow, he never expected to find someone that could fill the empty hole in him, even if she was a stubborn spit-fire of a woman.

Her Mule Hollow cowboy by Debra Clopton
Maddie Rose and some of the other cowboys had a ranch willed to them after the owner died. Now Maddie thinks she has to prove that she is just as good as the rest of the cowboys. Well she has some trouble one day getting a bull into the trailer . About the time she was already on the ground she looked up and sees Cliff Masterson a stranger helping her. Now Cliff probably saved her life but he thought she was dead by the time he got to her. Cliff is home to try and find some land to settle on and raise bulls so he can leave the rodeo circuit. Will stubborn Maddie let Cliff help her? She thinks that he is a handsome cowboy. Why did the other cowboys let Maddie try and get the bull into the trailer by herself? I loved this story about Maddie and Cliff.

My personal favorite is anything with a rugged cowboy. Her Mule Hollow Cowboy by Debra Clopton is a dream come true for any woman—Maddie is part owner of a ranch with three good-looking cowboys! Then who should come visiting but Rafe’s handsome bull riding brother, Cliff. Maddie tries to protect her heart, history has taught her that the only person she can depend on is herself. The theme that runs through this story besides a first kiss is forgiveness, putting the past behind, learning from mistakes and moving toward a brighter future. Definitely a must-read that I know you will enjoy! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

A contemporary western novella, this story is very sweet. I really enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Cliff and Maddie. There is so much for Maddie to overcome in order to learn to trust and let herself take a chance on love. Watching her emotional growth through the story and Cliff’s patience with her is very sweet. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I was pleasantly surprised by this story. I found the hero to be kind and understanding and knocked on his butt when he saw the heroine! It was a great quick read and I would recommend it. I was a little annoyed at Maddie's [for lack of a better term] slowness in changing her attitude but she had a lot to overcome in her upbringing history. And how can you not like that a woman lives with hunky guys who adore her?Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This is a story about two strong, but in many ways fragile individuals who fall in love in spite all the walls they have put up. Maddie always wanted a family. After being abandoned and raised in the foster care system, Maddie feels she has to work harder than anyone else to prove her worth. She is so afraid of being hurt, that she keeps everyone at arm's length. Cliff is a bull rider who has been running... he and his twin Rafe had suffered under an abusive father until they ran away at 17. And he hasn't stopped running...until now. Now he wants to finally settle down in Mule Hollow near his brother and take up ranching. After rescuing Maddie, they both feel this connection to each other. But will Maddie let her fears and insecurity keep her from true love? This is yet another amazing story by Debra Clopton. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
