Meet the Author

Destiny Carter grew up in the small town of St. Petersburg Florida. Her love for all things literature grew from the time she finished her first book Freckle Juice. Trying her hand at acting and performing in productions of the Wizard of Oz, A raisin in the sun, and a few other original plays she eventually found her true voice in writing. Destiny attended Fort Valley State College where she studied Mass Communications. Although her love for writing was put on the back burner to try other career interest Destiny eventually found her way back to her true passion, writing. Destiny’s first novel Pleasure Island was published in August of 2007.
In 2008 Destiny produced her sophomore book Snow Cap Mountain. To complete a hot triangle of steamy and sharp witted books Dirty Karma was released to take the literary world by storm. She came back after a brief break in 2010 with an Erotic Romance "Her only Wish"

Ms. Carter is a three time certified speaker from Toastmasters International.

    I wish there was more

Ms. Carter has made me a fan with this story. Who hasn't wondered what ever happen to their first love? The fact that Isis and Cam grew up and grew apart to find each other again is the kind of romance I dig. It's not all peaches and cream though. The drama is just enough to keep me on the edge. The supporting characters are well rounded and necessary to the story. Over all an amazing read.

    AAMBC Book Reviews

As in read this book, I became intrigued by the storyline. I was caught up in the drama that unfolded in the beginning-The main characters, Isis and Cameron, was hanging out at their favorite place. This was shortly after Cameron graduated from high school and Isis had decided that this would be the night that they would consummate their relationship. Cameron has other ideas-He joined the Navy. Thus starts a story that has the two lovers going their separate ways, each thinking about the other while living their lives.
I liked that the characters were presented in a manner which a reader can relate to. We've all known someone that has been heartbroken, betrayed and faced with drama within our family structures. Does running away solve family issues/this book will answer that question. Another question that will be answered is how deep is the power of forgiveness?
I believe there were 2 spelling errors and the way the book was bound, at times I had to open it very wide to read the entire story. Otherwise the writing was clear and easy to follow. I believe that anyone reading "Her Only wish' will find a delightful story with just enough drama to keep their attention.
