Overview

What he wanted was a plain and meek wife to take care of his children and stay out of his bedroom. What he got was a fiery temptress who, despite her plain appearance, was far more desirable than he could handle.

Patrick Ramsey, Viscount Drakely, is used to having everything go according to his plans. And usually, it does, except when it comes to his three young daughters who are in desperate need of mother and governess. In an attempt to find a suitable woman, he stumbles upon the perfect woman for the post: Miss Juliet Hughes. Juliet, a local village girl, has been educated at London's most highly respect school for young ladies, and better yet, her plain features will make it easy for him to keep his hands off of her.

But what Patrick doesn't realize is this plain young lady from a humble background is anything but the docile, biddable young lady he bargained for, and if he's not careful, he'll lose his heavily guarded heart a little more with each encounter they have. With unshakable confidence and a strong determination, Juliet has no intentions of letting this lofty lord run roughshod over her and will stop at nothing to remind him that they may have been born at unequal stations, but where it counts, they're matched perfectly.

Meet the Author

Rose Gordon always dreamed of growing up to be either a rocket scientist, or more probable, a high school history teacher. Instead, she grew up to be a writing accountant who builds and launches model rockets in her spare time!

Gaining a full scholarship to a college that offered neither aeronautical engineering nor education, she majored in business administration/accounting. Not long after graduating, she realized accounting was not for her and decided to go back to school to major in secondary education social studies like she should have done to start with. Lacking one elective, she took creative writing and found what she was really wanted to do with her life: write. Specifically, historicals.

Her first trilogy, Scandalous Sisters series, was all written within a year.

When not tapping on the keyboard, she can be found tapping nails in boards and wrapping string around them to make a picture, building and launching model rockets, shoving her nose in a good book, camping, hiking, fishing or playing yet another game of Candyland with her young boys.

    Loved It!

Loved It! I loved this story. It had a story line that was easy to follow. The author surprised towards the end with Patrick's first wife, well done. I loved Juliet's character although from the description she was not beautiful and she wore glasses; she was strong, determined, and spunky at the same time she was caring and loving individual.

I liked it mainly because Juliet wasn't afraid to speak her mind

I liked it mainly because Juliet wasn't afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself. I felt it started a bit slow but got better as it went. It was great to find out how Marcus and Emma were doing, Caroline and Alex too. I have bought the whole series and with one book yet to read, ot's been worth it. The previous books were good also. The sisters series was also worth reading especially the first one.
