Meet the Author


Marcus A. Webb is a registered naturopath and has a private practice in the UK. He is a lecturer at the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy, where he gained his degrees, and the editor of The Health Advisor, working to bring knowledge of new and effective treatments to his audiences. Kathryn Hawkins is a respected food and cookery writer. She is a home economist and the former cookery editor of Women's Own magazine. She is the author of several books, including The Book of Light Chinese Dishes and Claypot Cookery.

Though this book does a good job of covering a nice variety of common as well as a few uncommon herbs and spices, I only wish there were more herbs and spices discussed. It is perfect for someone who is learning about growing or cooking with these ingredients but less helpful for someone, like me, who wants a larger repertoire. That said, I did enjoy the book and have read it several times already!
