A MEMOIR OF BETTY WHITE’S FIRST FIVE DECADES ON TELEVISION—AS IRREVERENT AND IRRESISTIBLE AS THE BELOVED ACTRESS HERSELF

BETTY WHITE first appeared on television in 1949 and has gone on to have one of the most amazing careers in TV history, starring in shows such as Life with Elizabeth, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and The Golden Girls, among many others. She is one of the hardest-working actresses of any era, and her sense of humor and perennial optimism have seen her through half a century of industry changes and delighted millions of fans.

Now, during Betty’s sixty-first year on screen, a year in which she has enjoyed a huge resurgence of popularity, her 1995 memoir makes a comeback too. Here We Go Again is a behind-the-scenes look at Betty’s career from her start on radio to her first show, Hollywood on Television, to several iterations of The Betty White Show and much, much more. Packed with wonderful anecdotes about famous personalities and friendships, stories of Betty’s off-screen life, and the comedienne’s trademark humor, this deliciously entertaining book will give readers an entrée into Betty’s fascinating life, confirming yet again why we can’t get enough of this funny lady.

Entertaining and I learned so much about her.

The audio version of this book is absolutely amazing. I thought it was great for Betty white to be the one to tell the story of her life of Hollywood and home. It was extraordinary.

Wow! A Primer on T.V. History - a must read for Betty White fans. It's as funny as she is.

Betty White takes you back to the beginning of the "new invention" called T.V. She begins, naturally, with one of the first T.V. programs which she was fortunate to be part of!

She leads you through the progression of television and it is certainly an interesting trip.

Also, she shares with you the highs and lows of her life behind the cameras. Loves and losses.

When reading this book, you forget that this woman is an octagenarian. She has the sharp mind and wit that defies age.

I love her even more after reading this.

Excellent first-person account of a truly magnificent career!

An enjoyable read from beginning to end, Betty White: Here We Go Again chronicles the history of television through the lens of a the actress' (mostly) successful career in television.

Featuring an updated introduction and epilogue from White in 2010, this is a unique and interesting read. I personally would have preferred more detail about her years on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls (the book was originally written a few years after the end of the Golden Girls/Golden Palace); however, this is a minor qualm.

Any Golden Girls (or classic TV, really) fan will enjoy this memoir!
