this is a great buy, it has For The Emperor, Caves of Ice, AND The Traitor's Hand for only $11.99 - it was a great buy and it also has short stories overall i recommend this to any Cain fan!

I have just recently started reading Warhammer 40k books, and I must say this is my favorite yet. I have only read a few others though (Ravenor Omni, Eisenhorn Omni, Titanicus, and Soul Drinkers...) and the humor throughout this one makes it next to impossible to put it down! I am stopping by B&N tomorrow so I can get the next one! If you are a fan of 40k, it is a definite must read!

I didn't expect to enjoy this book whatsoever but very early in there is a reference to the "Emporer's personal psycopaths" (can you say Inquisitors?) and I was hooked. Offbeat with a sense of humor but still true to the 40K universe, I enjoyed this book very much. Looking forward to reading the next book about Cain.

This had a nice twist of the 40k universe. It was action packed but with a protagonist as cynical as Cain it was quite amusing.

With offbeat characters, intrigue, action, and humor in equal measure this isn't a typical Warhammer 40,000 book. The dark depressing future of mankind takes a backseat to Cain's honest and at many times hilarious account of his actions. With an odiferous aide, a beautiful inquisitor and a host of other quirky characters this book is a must read for any Warhammer fan.

This is a collection of the first three books in the Ciaphas Cain seris. Unlike the stariotypical 40k writting Sandy Mitchell delivers a Clever hero written in a style anyone can enjoy.
You do not need to be farmilaiar with the Warhammer 40k universe to enjoy this book or any of Cain's adventures as he tries to survive in a War torn science fiction universe.
