    He's No Prince Charming

This book was alright. I think it could of had more potential, but over all it was alright.
Dakota is a washed up singer/song writer who returns home to Tennessee to put the pieces of her life back together. Trace is a world champ bull rider who was injured and can no longer pursue his career. Trace lives and runs Dakota's family lake business.
Together they overcome thier pasts and build a future.

    Southern Romance with flair...

He's No Prince Charming by LuAnn McLane is another sexy southern charm of a story.

Dakota Dunn was America's Teen Pop princess. She had the world at her fingertips and was living the high life. But that was when she was sixteen, now she is 25 and has lost her direction. She heads home to Tenn. back to her families marina and fishing retreat. Dakota is hoping the quiet country setting will rejuvenate her and kick start her song writing.

Trace Coleman a former bull-riding champion who had to retire do to injuries. He has been managing the marina, etc for the Dunn family for the last couple of years. He isn't happy that Dakota Dunn the actual owner is back in town. Trace likes things as they have been, quiet and serene. Dakota Dunn sure isn't either of those things.

Dakota finds herself drawn to sexy Trace. Though he is a brooding man, there is something about him that Dakota finds intriguing. Even when she tries to give Trace some space she finds herself in another pickle that Trace is there again to witness.

Trace has been licking his wounds since his injury. Even his close friends in town haven't been able to get him out of his shell. But this feisty Dakota has him running all over town trying to keep her safe.

He's No Prince Charming is a fun filled sexy ride. Dakota and Trace both have major package to work through but they do it with southern flair. The secondary romance of Grady and Sierra is a delight as well. LuAnn McLane does southern romance with flair and delicious sexy appeal. You can't go wrong with reading this book.

    fun lighthearted frolic

At sixteen, Dakota Dunn was America's singing teen sweetheart. Almost a decade later, Dakota is a highlight of where are they now? In fact the answer to that question re Dakota is she is at her marina at Pine Hollow Lake living in a fishing cabin while trying to turn her singing career from teen to adult, but currently battling a killer spider who scares her into screaming.

Former champion bull rider Trace Coleman manages Willow Creek Marina. He is outraged that the owner Dakota Dunn has arrived at the property she owns. He wants her to leave because he is tired of rescuing her from tiny spiders and other dangers; as HE'S NO PRINCE CHARMING. However, mostly he hates how he feels about Dakota Dunn.

This is a fun lighthearted frolic with a secondary romance enhancing the prime relationship of a "chivalrous" hermit constantly rescuing his lady in distress. This is an amusing tale, starting with the killer spider crawling down Dakota's back. Fans will enjoy the romantic antics between America's former teen pop star royalty and her Prince Charming in denial whose song list is I'm Not In Love and Hit the Road, Jill.

LuAnn McLane Amazes Readers Once Again!

LuAnn McLane fans are rejoicing once again at this witty romance. And for those of you who haven't read LuAnn before, this is the perfect place to start!

Dakota Dunn is lost. Her life as a child pop star is over so she returns to her family's marina to revamp her image, per her agent's request. A nice quiet cabin on the water should be the perfect atmosphere to relax and rediscover herself.

But, of course that won't be possible with hunky marina manager, and ex-rodeo star, Trace Coleman. He, too, is lost...a fact he repeatedly denies. Like Dakota, Trace was used to the spotlight being on him and has come to the marina to get away from the high life.

Though the two come for tranquility at different times and stages in their lives, Dakota and Trace soon find the only way they can heal is with the aid of the other.

There is nothing about this story that I did not fall in love with. The secondary characters are just as engaging as Trace and Dakota. Whether you like your romances with emotion, spice, humor, LuAnn packs He's No Prince Charming with it all! I will certainly be giving this as gifts and it's never too early to start thinking of stocking stuffers:)

    A winner of a book!

He's No Prince Charming is the newest fabulous and fun read from contemporary romance author LuAnn McLane.

Dakota Dunn is a former Pop Princess. But even the best child star grows up and now Dakota's career is long gone. She has come home to her only remaining piece of property, a peaceful marina and fishing retreat ,to try and re-invent herself and give her career a much needed boost. Can she really find a way to go from Pop Princess to Kickin' Country and does she really want to?

In the process of cleaning her long vacant cabin Dakota runs into her dreaded nemesis, a big old spider. Her scream of terror brings Trace Coleman, the ex bull-riding champion who just happens to run the marina, to her rescue. Although drawn to him, she would be the first to tell you that grumpy Trace is certainly no Prince Charming.

Trace Coleman, forced to retire from bull riding by his injuries is hiding from the world at the marina. His scars are not only on the outside, he has plenty hiding inside too. He can't believe the instant attraction he has to Dakota Dunn. She's the boss, not to mention a former Pop Princess, so what could they possibly have in common and how can he fight this pull he feels to be at her side.

Secondary characters Grady, the marina fishing guide and resident Romeo, and camp cook Sierra, who everybody considers just one of the guys, are perfect foils for perfect princess Dakota and grumpy Trace. Watching these four interact and grow with the story was a joy to behold.

The story is both light hearted and fun but real enough to really strike a chord in my heart. I enjoyed every second of this book and highly recommend He's No Prince Charming. You won't be disappointed!

I enjoyed every second of this book and as much as I wanted the happy ending, I really hated for it to end.

    Great read

This book was so much fun to read. Each chapter left you wanting to read more, it was very addicting. This book was suspense, horor, romance, and comedy all wrapped into one. The only negative thing i have to say about it was the number of typo's found throughout the book. Over all a great read though!!
