the best book!

"He's With Me," by Tamara Summers, is a book of fiction. About a girl and her twin brother who always do everything together. They usually go to the same summer camp every summer. But this summer is different.

The main character, Lexi, is a small petite kind and caring teenage girl who is a twin to her brother Collin. Collin is a regular looking boy, kind of quiet but loves to play video games. Collin and Lexi are very close. Jake is Collin's best friend. Collin and Jake have been friends since they were little kids. Jake is also a regular looking teenage boy. Who is very nice and doesn't like to make people feel bad.

The setting of the story starts in Lexi and Collin's basement. But for the most part of the story they are at the summer lodge which is where summer camp. The summer camp is a very important part of the story because that's pretty much where everything happens.

I think the lesson for this book would be go for what you want. Don't care about what other people might think about it. And talk to people about what you're feeling. You never know they might feel the same way. I think the story would be about love. I didn't really learn anything about it, but it was a very interesting story. They solved the problem by pretending that Lexi and Jake are dating.

Lexi's mom is making her go to a summer camp without her brother. Lexi doesn't want to go what so ever. But then she finds out that her brother's friend, Jake ,will be there. Lexi has had a crush on him ever since she met him. She is very excited now but even more nervous. One day Jake comes over to play video games with Lexi's brother, Collin. Jake starts talking about this girl who likes him. Every guy wants to date Bree, but she's just not his type and she will be at the summer camp too. So Collin comes up with the idea that Jake and Lexi will pretend that they are dating.

I thought the book was very interesting. Most girls would enjoy it. I liked that they didn't make everything seem like it could never happen because in life something like this really could happen. I really didn't dislike anything about the book I thought everything was great! The story was neither confusing nor hard to believe.
The story was kind of predictable for me. I don't know if it would be for other readers, but for me it wasn't. So will Lexi and Jake be able to convince Bree that they are dating? Or will the pretend be come for real?

    awesomeness!

This is a realy good book. I mean yea everyone says that about the book they read, But I mean it. I am having trouble trying to explain it. It's those books where there is a nerdy girl, cute guy, they fall in love, except it's not that simple there are a few bumps on the road, because well people find it weird. Question is, are they realy dating or is it fake, like one of those im doing a favor for a friend dating? I know, but now it's all up to you to find out. You may not know me, but trust me, its great!SA

Sweetest Book I Have Ever Read!

When I first picked up this book I wasn't quite sure if it was hold my attention. I kinda figured I wouldn't even finish it, but when i picked it up today I could NOT put down. It has to be one of the sweetest books I have ever read. The main character, Lexie, is so easy to relate to and so is her situation.

Lexie is in love with her twin brother's best friend, Jake. She has known him for three years and ever since they met she has loved him, but always thought he was out of her league. Then the evil Bree decides she wants to be with Jake, but Jake doesn't want to be with her at all. Lexie's brother, Colin, comes up with the plan that Lexie will be Jake's "pretend girlfriend" until Bree finds someone else to crush on. In the process of "pretend dating" both Lexie and Jake experience feelings for each other they never expected.

This is a great book for teen girls. It is not only a great love story, but it also tells how Lexie comes out of her shell and stops caring so much about "the popular kids".

This is a must read. It was so completely sweet and adorable. I could not put it down.

    5 STARS!!!!

    Good Read

The story was cute, but it was way too predictable. Also, I thought the characters didn't really seem their age.. They sound more like 13 year olds to me. Besides that, it's a perfect short read for a dull day, and I think I'll reread it a couple more times. (:

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK!!!

At first when I saw the book, I assumed it would be dull and boring, I didn't understand the description on the back. But A friend of mine instead got the book and later told me how great it was. I was persuaded in reading it, and not long after reading the third chapter I was hooked. I love the characters, especially Jake. The story is how I wish my summer was.

Reviewed by Randstostipher "tallnlankyrn" Nguyen for TeensReadToo.com

Lexie believed that her life was over when her mother bought her a tennis racket and a bikini, two of the things that she hated the most. And when she finds out that her mother had signed her up for a tennis day camp, her life seemed to be going down the drain, especially when finding out that her twin brother, Colin, wouldn't be there. Then Colin brings up some major news that changes Lexie's perspective on this upcoming summer. Jake, Colin's best friend and the guy that Lexie has had a crush on since the very first time they met, will be at camp, too. Maybe now Jake will finally see Lexie as more than just a friend - and maybe even ask her to be his girlfriend.

Before she knows it her dream comes true; well, kind of. Jake finds out that Bree, the most popular girl in school, has her sights on him, and Bree always gets what she wants. But Jake is far from interested in being her boyfriend. So Colin comes up with a master plan: have Lexie become Jake's "girlfriend" so Bree will back off. Unfortunately, Bree doesn't get the hint and still tries to get Jake to notice her. Yet something much bigger happens, the feelings between Jake and Lexie change, and now Lexie doesn't understand what is fact and what is fiction. Are they still pretending?

HE'S WITH ME starts out the very new pseudo-series I HEART BIKINIS, and what a great job it does. Sure, it may seem like any other fluffy teen novel, but the story that Tamara Summers has created leaves a smile on the reader's face all the way until the last page. This is the perfect beach read for this upcoming summer.
