A veteran of thirty years as a National Park Service ranger, Jim Burnett worked at eight parks across the US, including Grand Canyon, Glacier, Lake Mead, and Buffalo River before retiring as Chief Ranger at Colonial National Historic Park. He lives near Athens, Texas.

    Nice follow-up to his first book

    After enjoying the author's first book, I decided to give this one a try, and am glad I did. He continues to provide some entertaining and often amazing stories from national parks and other outdoor locations. I've visited a lot of parks around the country, and in addition to enjoying reading about the crazy things people will do on vacation, have also picked up a few tips for things I'll avoid myself on future trips.
