    more from this reviewer

A must read if you've ever visited our national parks.

This book will leave you smiling for weeks. If you've visited at least one of the national parks, you'll identify with many of these stories, but you don't have to have visited the parks to enjoy what's on these pages. Get the book, share it with your family and friends who are planning to go or have been to our parks. I must say that after reading "Hey Ranger," I wonder if the bears are not smarter than some of the human visitors. Enjoy, a good read.

    Still laughing...one month later!

I purchased this book while on vacation last month and read it in three nights. I had a hard time choosing between sleep and the book. Jim is an excellent writer who captures your interest from page one and holds it until the end of the book. I'll never think of chicken soup in quite the same way!!! I now have an even healthier respect for rattlesnakes and sorry to say, I'd probably be one of those that should've paid more attention in school. I'm planning to buy several more to give as Christmas gifts. There is no need to even be interested in National Parks or Rangers to appreciate the humor and practical lessons learned in this book!

We All Need a Good Laugh or More, 'Hey, Ranger!' is it.

This book is fun reading and I'd recommend it to anyone. You don't have to be a Park Ranger to understand the amusing situations that Jim Burnett has shared with us in this very funny book! This history of amusing anedotes from the man that was there can be shared by friends and relatives alike. It is fun and funny without having to stoop to the trash level like so much 'humor' is today. Thanks to the writer and the publisher for printing something I'll want to read again.

Great read for anyone who likes stories with humor

As a park ranger I found lots to like about this book, but you don't have to be an outdoor's person to enjoy it. These are funny stories based on the author's 30 years as a ranger and he was obviously a good observer of human nature. He creates some wonderful acronyms to describe some of the situations people get into in the out-of-doors. If you're looking for some fun, light reading, this is a great choice.
