Hidden Destiny (Redwood Pack #6) by Carrie Ann Ryan
Latent wolf, Lexi Anderson, has become a recent member of the Redwood pack after being exiled from the Talon pack for a fault not her own. She was raped by Corbin Reyes, the new alpha of the central pack, leaving her with a son, Parker, and half a mating bond.
North Jamenson is the last of the brothers without a mate. He knows that the newest member of the Redwood pack, Lexi, is his. He also knows that it is prophesied that he is destined to kill Corbin Reyes. Problem is the prophecy didn’t say whether or not he will survive.
This was my favorite book in the series so far. The story keeps getting better.
Lexi and North complement each other well and overcome obstacles. They stick it out together even though they cannot be bonded as long as Corbin is alive.
I love that North accepts Parker as his son despite him being the son of his pack’s enemy. He assures him that everyone will accept him regardless.
I also appreciate that characters from the previous books are prevalent through the book. Carrie Ann Ryan does a fantastic job in the character development, making it easy to distinguish between characters through the dialog.
I enjoyed the side story of Parker trying to set up his uncle Logan with North’s sister Cailin. I Can’t wait to read about the results of Parker’s match making skills in Fighting Fate. I’m sad there is only one more full-length book left. At least, we can look forward to the remaining novellas, and it is good thing I’m a re-reader. I think the books would be even better the second time around.

Hidden Destiny is the first book of Carrie Ann Ryan’s that I have read. But it definitely won’t be the last! I am definitely addicted. This book is part of the Redwood Pack series which I am just really sorry that I didn’t know of before. Because I wish I had read the other books leading up to this one. All the characters are endearing and memorable. They stick with you way after you finish the book. And the writing is fabulous, giving you a virtual painting of the scenes and the emotions the characters are portraying. The paranormal aspect is woven in so intricately in this book and is wonderful to read. North and Lexi’s story was a great one that I was actually upset to see ended as I wanted to read more. Thankfully there are many more Redwood pack members to take up that task once Carrie spins her magic. I highly recommend this book to any werewolf/paranormal lovers. Was this review helpful? As a long time fan of Carrie Ann Ryan and the Redwood Pack, I have been patiently waiting for North to get his story.
I knew to expect the secrets that both North and Lexi had and I knew to expect them to be very important to the Jamenson Family and their war against the Centrals. What I didn't expect was to be thrown around emotionally a time or two while reading this story.
They have so many trials to overcome, it was like as they climbed one mountain another was waiting for them. Which as a long time fan of the Redwoods made this story an emotional one. That and knowing that this is the second to last book in the series I am not going to lie, a few chapters to the end I was crying.
I am also VERY VERY happy to see a few characters gets whats been coming to them for far to long!
I have to say that I am so happy with Carrie Ann's ever growing talent and how deep she has taken each book in the Redwood series. I can definitely tell that with each new book in this series that she knows she is getting closer to the end and that she is putting more and more of herself into each one to make sure that her fans know that this might be the end of this series but she wont let us ever forget it.
I give Hidden Destiny 5 out of 5 stars!

This was another great book in the Redwood Pack series. I absolutely loved it. A roller coaster ride of emotions. Carrie Ann Ryan makes it hard for you to pick just one Jamenson to fall in love with. Each one takes a little piece of your heart by the time your done. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

“She’s ours. No matter the cost. She’s ours.”
OMG Carrie Ann Ryan did it again. She absolutely knows how to put her readers on edge, and totally off guard. Unbelievable. Just Unbelievable.
This is North Jamenson and Lexi Anderson’s story and what a story it was.
Lexi Anderson, latent wolf, mother, sister, survivor, miracle and on the run. She should have never survived to adult hood much less had a baby. She’s dying because of being latent and has no way to release her pent up adrenaline. She doesn’t feel her wolf. The fact that she's slowly dying is kept hidden very well from her brother Logan and her son Parker. She and her family were rescued and brought into the Redwood Pack. Although the Jamenson’s tried to maker her feel welcomed and like pack family she never really felt the love of the pack. Most were suspicious of her and her family.
North Jamenson is the quiet one, twin to Maddox and a hot, sexy Doctor. He’s also hiding (so he thinks) his dark and dangerous side. It is his turn at finding his mate and Lexi is it. But she’s been avoiding him and he has no idea why.
When Lexi is finally confronted by North about being potential mates she drops the bomb on him. She is partially mated but did not complete the bound, you see black magic was used and she was raped. When she tells North who Parker’s father is the scene just fall apart fast. (I’m telling you LOL you have to read the book.) North in a state of shock needs to run and run and run. I love how in the next few pages Carrie Ann in her I want to say twisted way actually brings Logan and North a little closer. They are alike in many ways and think alike. I enjoyed the slight bonding between them. When North finally gets himself calmed he goes to the Alpha his father and Mother and tells them what is going on. His mother encourages him to go claim his mate regardless. Deed is Done just not bonded.
As the story progresses Lexi is having an afternoon with the girls, Hannah, part of the Triad and the Pack Healer and Melanie the Heirs Mate. These first few pages seemed not so heavy but that changed fast. When the girls decided to take a break they were confronted by three woman of the pack. Collen, Marissa and Sandra. The ring leader being Colleen. Words were exchanged and for no reason the three attacked Hannah, Melanie and Lexi. My girls held their own and whooped butt. What happens afterwards was very tense and emotional. You need to read the book.
This was a really an action packed read, there were twists and turns everywhere. My heart was pounding. Poor Lexi WOW she really really got beat up in this story. But she was strong and determined. SPOILER (she found her wolf) YAY. Lexi was def the heroine in this story. Lexi with the help of the Moon goddess kicked some Caym booty. North wasn’t too bad either. BUT CARRIE ANN WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO NORTH OMG REALLY! You’re killing me. I realize it’s a dark magic curse but come on. But I’m so glad Corbin got his in the end. I so can’t wait for Cailin and Logan’s story; I’m just sad that it’s coming to an end. But we have the spin off with the Talon’s and I think I’m gonna like them. You’ll see why when you read this book. Carrie Ann but of course this is so 5* star read.

I have been waiting and waiting for North to get his HEA and was super excited for this release. Carrie Ann did not disappoint me. I love North. He is hot, sweet, powerful, loyal, pretty alpha and a doctor to boot. He also is shrouded in darkness over a secret he keeps from everyone, including his twin. Lexi is strong, an amazing mother, and holds her own dark secrets. Secrets that keep her from her from her true mate. I love how strong and loyal both North and Lexi are and how they except each other for who they are even when they see their darkness and their pasts. I will say I did nto see the ending coming. Oh my Carrie Ann sure knows how to keep me on my toes. I can not wait for the next book. If my guess is correct, it will feature Lexi's super yummy brother. Was this review helpful? The sixth book in the Redwook Pack series is a riveting read that packs an emotional punch.
With his wolf closer to the surface than others, North Jamenson is the quiet one and it’s finally turn to mate, but it order to accept Lexi as his mate he will have to share the darkness that is entwined with his soul. The newest member of the Redwood Pack, Lexi Anderson is a latent wolf that’s holding secrets so close that she’s not sure if she even knows the truth anymore. Lexi wants to bond with North, but not only does she have to come to grips with her past, the war with the Centrals isn’t over yet and Lexi’s life is on the line and their future takes a drastic turn.
This fast paced and smooth flowing plot is full of suspense, action, romance, family, friendship and betrayal. The author brings the story to life with vivid images, surprising twists and intense details that capture the imagination and make the reader feel as if they are part of the story. The strong and bewitching characters grab the reader’s attention and are easily related to and members of another pack are introduced in this book to intrigue the reader as well.
The attraction between Lexi and North burns hot through every page and the sex scenes leave the reader scorched. The author conveys the emotions, passion and personalities of the characters intensely making it easy for the reader to empathize with them and understand their motivations.
The Redwood Pack is a fascinating and entertaining family that continuously surprises the reader with their strength, love, hope and loyalty. The continuing war has taken its toll on these beloved characters, but they are still standing strong. I love these wolves and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

This book surprised me. Well, not the book so much as North. (I knew Carrie Ann would rock it!!)
I have read all of the previous novels and novellas and haven't gotten much of a feel for him other than the fact that he was Maddox's twin, a doctor and a fixer. In this installment, we see the REAL him! And oh man is he HOT and DOMINANT!! Yummy!
I love how he is with his Lexi as well as with his family. With each Jamenson male that I read about, I tend to feel like they are my favorite and this one is no different.
As far as Lexi goes, I love her too! She knows that she is not physically the strongest, and even when she doesn't feel emotionally strong, she puts he big girl panties on and does what she needs to for her son, family and pack. She is amazing!
I cannot wait to the rest of this journey with the Redwoods!
