Overview

Returning from a stint as part of a task force on violent crime, Randy Detweiler is eager to reunite with Sarah Tucker in Pine Hills, but shes having second thoughts about their relationship. Can she deal with a cop who gets called away at a moments notice, especially one who wont talk about his job?

Their reunion is cut short when a body is discovered and rumors fly that its the work of a serial killer. To make matters worse, the Town Council might disband their police department, and Randy's under added pressure to solve the murder before they take action. Forced to work under the radar, Randy struggles to balance work with a shaky relationship.

Sarah cant cope with apparently meaning less to Randy than his job. Should she force him to choose between his job and the us she envisions for the two of them? All bets are off when Sarah herself becomes a suspect in Randys case. Before long, its more than their relationship thats in danger.

Hidden Fire is a sequel to Finding Sarah. Both were previously published by Cerridwen Press. This edition has been updated and revised from the original release.

Editorial Reviews

Romance Reviews Today - Mel Mason
HIDDEN FIRE is a fantastic story full of suspense and the delightful ups and downs of relationship negotiations. Readers will find Terry Odells book a wonderful escape from the daily grind of life. I found the characters insecurities and strengths to be loveably human. I give this book thumbs up for bathtub or beach reading.
The Romance Studio - Lynn Bushey
The authors take on police work is both fascinating and entertaining. I loved the brainstorming session. ... a great romantic relationship and a satisfying, complex mystery.

Meet the Author

Terry Odell was born in Los Angeles, moved to Florida, and now makes her home in Colorado. An avid reader (her parents tell everyone they had to move from their first home because she finished the local library), she always wanted to "fix" stories so the characters did what she wanted. Once she began writing, she found this wasn't always possible, as evidenced when the mystery she intended to write rapidly became a romance. When she thought about it, she realized that her favorite mysteries were series where she could follow the developing relationships of the protagonistto the point where she'd read the book twice; once for the relationship and again to follow the crime and its solution. So, she started reading romance, and found there was a genre that included mystery themes as well as a relationship.

Although her genre is labeled "romantic suspense", Terry prefers to think of her books as "Mysteries With Relationships." You can find more about her at her website,
