Finally. Jesus talks to us in His language.

Dr. Neil Douglas-Klotz is a Sufi Master of the highest regard of researchers into this material, including myself. This book is the positive affirmation of genuine love Jesus' message was meant to be. I salute this great man for a superb work.

    Hearing the Aramaic Jesus

What would it have been like to sit on a Galilean hillside and listen to Jesus speak? Dr. Douglas-Klotz's discussion of the Aramaic language and Semitic culture of first century Judea opens the door to rich insights into familiar Gospel teachings. Layers of meaning are revealed by the author's midrash on the nuances present in Aramaic words. Dr. Douglas-Klotz allows the words of Jesus to blossom with possibility, something his original listeners would have understood, but which has faded from today's reading of the teachings. I found this book to be a refreshing and inspirational glimpse into the beliefs of Jesus and his followers.
