Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

"I had a life that anyone would kill for. And then someone did." Solving a murder is seldom easy, but it is particularly difficult when you're dead. Sutton, the narrator of this new Lying Game series installment, is quite deceased, but she does have a valuable living ally: To uncover the culprits, her long-lost twin Emma who is posing as her murdered sister. Even with that assistance, however, the investigation remains uphill and dangerous—not to mention exciting: Sara Shepard has followed her mega-popular Pretty Little Liars arc with an equally suspenseful and adventurous sequence.

Took me four books to realize I've been scammed with a new marketing strategy; this author just keeps writing and selling books, but she doesn't ever end them. By the time the next one comes out in Feb., you can bet I'll not be at the counter to buy it. And Barnes and Noble, shame on you, you should give your readers a little bit of a heads up in the description of the books to let them know these are 'never ending' soap operas...

I LOVE this series, it was a good book and all...but there were some things that weren't up to par. At first I loved the suspense and how you always thought that Emma was so close to finding out who the true murder was. Though after a while, it got seriously boring...the same thing kept happening: Emma and Ethan would think that they knew who murdered Sutton, but EVERY TIME....they would find out that they were completely wrong. I mean, I did like the suspense at each part and how you really thought of each suspect. The ending was also very good....and sad to think that she might've done it (I'm not going to say who because I don't want to ruin it for anyone). I really do hope that this series isn't going to be stretched out like pretty little liars (which I haven't read), because then it gets boring after a while and it makes no sense. And yes, there is a fourth book coming out.

    SPOILER ALERT:

it isn't Laurel (at least not for now it isn't)

really like the story and the suspense. I actually don't mind all the

    Great series

While I think I like the pretty little liars series better, this is still a great read. It started out a little slow, as most books in a series do and then it progresses forward withsuspence and mystery. Made me want to keep reading. Needless to say I have really enjoyed this series thus far.

To respond the the rating below, you are not getting scammed! The reason she keeps releasing books is because people want her to. She wouldn't keep writing if no one was reading them. As for me, I'm happy she continues to write because I enjoy reading her books very much. I would advise this series and Pretty Little Liars (also written by Sara Shepard) to any avid teen reader.

    OMG!! WOW

I loved this story, each book seems to get better and better. The heightened sense of suspicion is wonderful. The journey to find the killer has been an amazing ride with twists and turns. And I cannot wait til the next book in the series comes out. This is one must reaad series, my opinion, the books are way better than the tv show.
