This transition from novel to manga is seemingly effortless and devastatingly on cue.I love the book series and an avid collector. Although I do hope that one day the novel itself will be transferred into a nook format.

Hideyuki Kikuchi's Vampire Hunter D Manga Series is a fantastic manga and a great general read. Set in the future, the state of humanity is reverted to a medieval-like condition. Vampires become the ruling class and enslave humans. Vampires hunters are the only hope against the vile tyranny of the vampires. It's a very unique and interesting take on vampire lore and writing. Vampires, which seem particularly "in" right now, are portrayed in a most fascinating manner. Instead lurking in the dark and remaining hidden from the human world, they rule it openly and in nightmarish fashion. They publicly terrorize humanity. The main character, D, is nothing sort of a one-man extermination team. He takes employment from a girl to protect her and her young brother.
Not only is it a fantastic story, but I am most pleased to see a manga have an official release for an e-reader. The nook provides a perfect printed feel, almost as if reading the bound manga. The only disadvantage some may have is the small print; however, this wasn't an issue for me. With printed manga being no cheap purchase, the price of the e-edition was a pleasant purchase.
If you like manga/anime, vampires, comics, are want to experience a unique read (both in content and format) for you Nook, then I recommend you give this story a try.
(I have purchased both vol 1 & 2.)
