New York Times and USA Today Bestselling series!

Boxed set of the first five award wining High Heels Mystery novels featuring fashion designer turned amateur sleuth, Maddie Springer, including:

L.A. shoe designer, Maddie Springer, lives her life by three rules: Fashion. Fashion. Fashion. But when she stumbles upon the work of a brutal killer, her life takes an unexpected turn from Manolos to murder.

Maddie straps on her stilettos and, along with her trigger-happy best friend, makes tracks for Sin City in search of her MIA dad.
Maddie finds not only her dad, but also a handful of aging drag queens, an organized crime ring smuggling fake Prada pumps, and one relentless killer. Plus, it seems the LAPD's sexiest cop is doing a little Vegas moonlighting of his own. In a town where odds are everything, Maddie bets it all on her ability to out-step a vicious murderer.

Secret affairs, hunky gardeners, and housewives desperate enough to bare it all... welcome to Magnolia Lane, TV's hottest new prime time show... where a rising young starlet is found dead on the show's set. Now it's up to Maddie to sift through a leading lady with a secret, an actor on the verge of a nervous breakdown, a sexy cyber scandal, and one tabloid reporter who'll stop at nothing to get the story of the century. Not to mention Maddie's hot-cold relationship with the case's familiar lead detective, Jack Ramirez. In a world where secrets, lies, and deception can earn you an Oscar, Maddie plays the role of a lifetime to catch Hollywood's hottest killer. But if she doesn't watch her step, Maddie's fifteen minutes of fame just may be her last.

Baguettes, bodies, and haute couture galore! Shoe designer turned amateur sleuth, Maddie Springer, is at it again, this time in fabulously fashionable Paris. When Europe's designer de jour, Jean Luc LeCroix, invites Maddie to show her creations at Paris Fashion Week, Maddie's sure she's died and gone to heaven. That is until Jean Luc's top model is found dead on the runway, stabbed with a familiar stiletto heel. Sure someone is trying to frame her, Maddie enlists the help of her friends, including the sexy Detective Jack Ramirez, to uncover a daring jewel heist, a devious blackmailer, and even a few skeletons lurking in the closets of those closest to her. But as the evidence mounts, Maddie becomes the prime suspect and Ramirez is stuck between a badge and a cute blonde with a tendency for trouble. Will he stand by her as she attempts to track down an international killer, or will this be the case that finally comes between them? One thing's for sure, if Maddie doesn't uncover the real killer soon, she may be saying her final adieu.

Maddie Springer is finally walking down the aisle with the man of her dreams. And she's got the perfect wedding planner to pull it all off in style. Well, perfect, that is, until the woman winds up dead - murdered in buttercream icing. With the help of her fellow fashionista friends, Maddie vows to unveil the cold-blooded killer, but as the wedding day grows closer, tempers flare, old flames return, and Maddie's race to the altar turns into a race against time.

Chicago Tribune
"A saucy combination of romance and suspense that is simply irresistible."
Romance Junkies
"Maddie Springer is like a cross between Paris Hilton and Stephanie Plum, only better. The dialogue is snappy and the suspense beautifully interwoven with Ms. Halliday’s unique humor. This is one HIGH HEEL you’ll want to try on again and again "
Press & Sun Bulletin
"It's rare to find a romantic mystery that's so funny, but this is certainly one of them. Maddie Springer (is) a ‘Versace’ Nancy Drew everyone can appreciate."

Would have rated this a zero but couldn't. Bought boxed set and having great difficulties in reading the books on my nook. There are alot of glitches in this item.

I downloaded this set thinking I would be saving money. That wasn't the case, the pages stop turning about the middle of the 2nd book and lock up my Nook so that it has to be turned off and back on. I have contacted Customer Service asking if I could have a refund so that I could buy the books separately (which costs more than the set) and I have been told that since the books downloaded there is nothing they can do. I have gone into a B & N store to ask their Nook "expert" for help, though she was very sweet, she couldn't find a solution to the problem and ended up calling Customer Service. She was given the same answer. So, don't waste your money on this set.

Loved the books. They were a quick and easy read that really kept my attention but the box set doesn't work o the nook. i had to get the store to refund through customer service after he 800 number had me erase my whole library and reregister my nook because they couldn't fgure it out. I'll bet Maddie could have..!

Loved the books, hated them on the Nook. I learned my lesson to never by a boxed set, it was awful. As other readers mentioned, couldn't get the pages to turn, continued to freeze and wasn't able to read the last two books on the Nook.

I'm glad to read other reviewers say they could not get the boxed set to work on their nook. I spent hours on the phone, online and via email trying to get this to work and they basically told me I was nuts and didn't know what I was talking about. I was so disgusted. I told them I'd spend more money to buy them all individually if they'd give me my $14.95 back but that wasn't going to happen. Now I'm getting them from the library so I can read them. I've basically been happy with my nook until this fiasco. I'm certainly not buying as many books as I use to, I figure why should I reward their poor customer service.

I absolutely loved it!! I read the reviews and I think everyone is exaggerating. The boxed set was not slow and I'd say it froze on me twice, at most. Its a large file so I expected it, had patience and finished the reading. I bought it thursday night and was finished by friday evening. Addictive, funny, and entertaining. Highly recommend!

Do not buy the boxed set. Great story but like everyone else there are problems with it shutting down. With everyone having the problem this box set should not be sold.

I absolutely love this series, there is everything you could ask for in a book. You have your romance, humor, suspense and a happy ending. I read the other reviews and was nervous about purchasing the set because a lot of people said they had issues with the nook keeping up with the amount of pages. I just want everyone to know I had not one issue and I have the older nook. Do not pass up this series!!!!!!!

This is an excellent series! Very engaging, with romance galore, mystery, and intrigue! After I finished one book I just HAD to keep reading! HOWEVER, I would not recommend buying the box set if you have just a standard nook. For some reason the box set caused my nook to malfunction and lose its place and open one of the books I'd already read. It was very strange, and I thought maybe it was my Nook but just as soon as I switched to something else entirely my Nook no longer acted up. So I would definitely recommend buying the books individually as they are well worth the read! Gemma Halliday is MAGNIFICENT!

I really enjoyed this series. I read the reviews and saw all the problems others were having with the boxed set but since it was cheaper than buying the first book by itself I took the chance. I am so glad i did. I had NO problems with the set. Pages turned quickly and everything loaded well. Buy this set even if you have a nook, i have the latest nook and there were no problems!

I know that many other readers had difficulty with the format on their nook, but I didn't have any issues. I have the original nook with a memory card. The series was funny and the romance was perfect. The main character is a pain in the butt sometimes, since she is always making the same mistakes, but I enjoyed the humor. I would recommend this series to my friends. These books are an escape away from reality, so if you are looking for a completely realistic storyline then you may not enjoy these.

I read all of these quickly and wanted more

I bought the set and did have a few problems with losing some pages but found that if I went backwards for two or three pages and then when I went back the pages would be there but did enjoy them

There is a mystery of sorts in the stories but mostly it's just a fun read with some ridiculous ideas of femininity. Good for a laugh. I enjoyed them.

I read these in 2 days, I couldn't tear myself away from them! I do have to agree with some other reviews, occasionally the pages wouldn't turn or would freeze up on me, but I didn't have this problem until I got to the last book. But honestly what can you expect from a nook book that's over 3000 pages? As long as you're patient, you can tolerate the slight annoyance. I do have to admit, I wasn't as big of a fan of the 5th book as the rest however, it just didn't have the same vibe as the first 4. I'm now starting on the 6th with hopes that the author uses the same captivating story play as she did in the first 4 books. Highly recommended for fans of Janet Evanovich and Dorothy Howell!

I could not stop reading!! It only took me five days to read the collection. So good. Worth the money and time to read.

I was glad to find out my nook wasn't the only one that was having problems reading the book file. I thought it was the 1st version Nook @ first - but now I have the 2nd version and I'm still having the problems. I've gotten through the 1st 3 and slowly making my way through the last 2, as long as my Nook v2 doesn't freeze up on me. I love the story and comedy. They're such an easy read!!

I have never had so much trouble with reading on my Nook before. The screen froze often, throughout all of these books. It was almost not worth reading them, as the enjoyment is taken away by the technical problems that occurred.

Despite the fact that this says its been reformatted for Nook, the book still doesn't work appropriately. Pages turn too slowly and the book freezes, resulting in having to turn the Nook off and on. Its a shame. I like the first book ( I read that separately), but this is so bad I can't enjoy the rest. It's impossible to become interested and engaged when I have to stop reading every 10-20 minutes. What I'm most surprised by is that any author would let his/her work be released like this. Don't waste your miney here.

Its to big. I could read the first 2 books and now my Nook keeps freezing. A waste of money. Barnes an Noble should be ashamed selling a defective product and telling customers to bad.
