Chapter Eighteen Mr. Drel enters the room again. I struggle not to start shouting and cursing at him, or punching him. That wouldn't turn out well. "So, you will meet your squads and then head to battle." He says calmly. A kind-faced, middle-aged woman walks in. Her gray-streaked brown hair is held back by a shiny clip, and she wears a white medic's coat. "Hello, I am Mrs. Feyla. I have..." she looks at the clipboard in her hand and continues. "Terrin Rinzer's squad. Which one of you is Terrin?" "Me." I say. "Excellent. Please follow me, young lady." She says. "Good luck." Xavier whispers to me. I smile gratefully at him and follow the woman out. After moving through long corridors, we turn into a large room filled with chairs. "Boys and girls, your squadron leader is here!" Mrs. Feyla calls, ushering me in. She comes in after me and flips to the next page on her clipboard. "When I call your name, please raise your hand, or say something to let me know you're here. Orion LaCayes." A pale, black-haired boy with ice blue eyes says, "Right here." "Zola Paige." A dark-skinned girl with black hair and brown eyes gives a little wave. "Lev Tuckon." A sandy-blonde boy with bright green eyes says, "That's me." "Calla Monroe." A red-haired, freckled girl with blue eyes says, "Hi." "Talin... I can't say your name, sorry." Mrs. Feyla smiles apologetically. A boy with dark tan skin, bronze hair, and brown eyes smirks and says. "No problem." "And... Axis Teurler." A dark-haired boy with eyes that can't seem to decide whether they're green or blue nods. "Hey." "So, this is Terrin Rinzer. Your squad leader." I can't believe how bad these people make me feel.
